Hi this is the "Gemsveilchen Walzer" from composer Anton Wunderer performed by the "Wiener Horn Ensemble" in year 2000 in peking. The Wiener Horn Ensemble is not together anymore cause we all have jobs now (some teachers, one professional) and its no time anymore to play together as much as we would need to. Im also on this video playing this piece ...best wishes to you and thanks for the positive comments, Im surprised to find us on youtube ;-) cheers
Looks aside, the Vienna horn is difficult to master-most skilled players have been playing this particular kind of horn for years. It is far more difficult than the traditional double or single Bb horn. Many consider it to produce the most beautiful of horn sounds.
I get to go to an international horn meeting in Cold Lake pretty soon. I'll get to take masterclasses and everything. I'm soooo excited. Maybe I'll get to see a preformance like this!
REALLY GOOD...!!! God I wish I could play like that... Then again, I'm just starting with the French Horn... But this is a good inspiration for me...!!!
That is a crazy Horn quartet. So good. I love how the 4th hornist can play pedal notes easily. Anymore International Horn Society videos? I have to see more.
I can't asking you

Very nice. These are Vienna horns, likely single F. Hear the characteristic ringing tone of the Vienna horn.

The only thing wrong with this performance is that Donna (The Goddess of The Horn) Dolson is not there playing this silly waltz.
