"Frampton & Nancy (Wilson of Heart & Crowes wife) wrote the songs...Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready is the real talent behind Russell Hammond (the Stillwater'
s charismatic lead guitarist (played by Billy Crudup), while Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson plays rhythm guitar and Ben Smith on drums for the group. Lead singing duties went to Marti Frederickson"....quote from Cameron Crowes webpage.
cant explain why but the chorus reminds me a little bit of Speak/Breath in the air of Pink Floyd and voice like Peter Gabriel in the quite (not so progressive songs) of Genesis...or maybe is just my imagination
this song is such an anachronism...doesnt sound anything like the 70, let alone there other stuff that is very 70s rock...but, this songs awesome nonetheless
Is there any one out there that actually have a CD with the original music from Stillwater ? I have the original movie on DVD and there is an extra CD where all of this amazing music is included... why the didn´t include it in the movie ?
All the Stillwater songs from this movie are fantastic! I've got them b/c I bought a copy of the Special "Untitled" version of this film, which included a special CD of Stillwater's songs. But I'll never understand why they didn't include all of them on the soundtrack album.
Awesome, would have been alittle more authentic if "Russell" would have had a cigarette on the slide piece...just would have really fit the era much more.
Wow!! I had no idea they recorded so many songs for this film!! I fucking love these guys, if only they were real. Also, Jason lee looks just like me in this film!!
Is there DVD with these scenes?

Darn it. I just finished Almost Famous. No wonder I didn't see this part, it's deleted scene. Thanks for uploading this mate. Excellent job.
