You know...I don't like Hakuho particularly, but I really enjoy watching his matches, just because it's always fun to root for an underdog.
My favorite wrestler is probably Baruto though, he just seems to have such a good attitude and demeanor. Not the attitude of your average rikishi it seems, he always seems so happy.
Tochiozan doesn't look like a sumo wrestler who will one day become Yokozuna. I mean sure that may change over the years, but as of right now, he just doesn't seem that impressive. When compared to the current Yokozunas and past Yokozunas, he just doesn't seem that great. We may see. Good job by Hakuho. Also, that is a lot of straight wins to hold that record. Do you know who that was?
I actually made a mistake - the modern record (after WWII) was set by yokozuna Chiyonofuji in 1988, when he had an amazing 53 winning matches in a row.
He was a yokozuna for 10 years and set all kinds of records.
DAYUM! That is one winning streak. He won 3 tournaments in a row to of achieved that right? I've heard of the Yokozuna of course, what other records did he set?

Thanks again Jason!
I'd really like to see Aran in action. He had a good record last basho, and I'm curious to see if he can hang with the top rikishi.
