I'm sorry this happened to you but please don't feel like all stylst are this way. This is why I book one person at a time. I want my client to feel like she has all of my attention and visa versa. My clientele pays a tad bit more but they definitely get what they pay for.

That happened to me before too. I was so distraught! I have very thick , below shoulders hair, and the stylist cut off about 6 inches! I went there very tired, with a headache, so I'll never go again to a salon if I'm not fully alert. I did however tell her to trim, not cut my hair. It took months for my hair to grow back. I was so shocked when i got out of the chair. I just left. The only up side was that the hair cut was so fierce that everywhere I went people would compliment me.

same thing happened to me. the guy was supposed to trim my hair and he CUT it off. i cried too lol i never let him cut it. i made szure i told him juss a lil bit next time and he actually did a good job

next time do this this is what i do i ask them to perm then wash it out then i got home do the rest ..............they dnt listen i told this fool lady to use a leave in she didnt use it it pissd me of then she took a small tooth comb and broke off my hair now my hair is short just do it urself

Yep the same thing happened to me my hair had grown to my shoulder and the stylist cut it to jaw it's growin back now my still just think of where i could gave been. Damn gul i wanted to slap her i said neva again so now i learned how to trim it myself.

Thank you so much for your advice for people in the UK. I haven't been able to find a good UK stylist yet. Most seem to NOT be qualified and it is evident in the work they do - typically I could have done it at home! I am so grateful that you have made this video so I could find out why this is? I cannot believe they you do not need a licence for a salon in the UK - it certainly explains alot. Thank you so so so much! Btw do you know any good London stylists that are professional?

Hey im a mix kid...i use to have curly hair like a little latina then i permed it...some stylist says i should perm it every 6 weeks and some say every 3 months please some tell me which advice should i go with because those are two far fetch answers!!! i had baby curly hair like a little latina and now its permed how often should i perm it ???

@kadiebaybie it really up to you and what you prefer.  I believe that every 6 weeks is to often. you can watch videos on youtube about the benefits of stretching your relaxer. There also website/ videos on how to stretch your relaxer as well as tips. hope this helps!

Been there, done that. That's why I learned to take care of my own hair, even cutting it. I've had wayyy to many bad experiences at black hair care shops. It's all about overbooking and getting the money in too many of them.

i know the feeling and i did the same thing you did only thing is my hair was tapered in the back and this happened about a month ago. She only told me she was going to trim my ends! Till this day if someone ever gets in my hair I will speak up because at the end of the day it is your hair and you have to wear that style!

that's a very informative vid. i kinda could understand where u comin' from. I went 2 a salon, and I asked 4 a trim, the lady cut off 3-4 inches off my hair, I was pissed, but regrettably I didn't say anything either, and i felt horrible. but on the bright side, my hair did eventually grew back. I want my hair 2 grow a little bit longer, any way keep up with the vids, love em. keep em comin' girl.

OMG wow!! I am so like u! My stylist is good w/ my trims but this last sew-in that she did, she didnt relax my edges... I was 9wks post... It was obviously kinky! I told her that I was stretching but I thought she would do the edges so my weave would look nice. So now I'm kinky with a str8 weave... I still haven't said anything an this happened Sept 8th!

Omg, I've been in your shoes before. I walked into a salon and i got a perm and a wrap. You know the basic and when she was going to roller set my hair she said i need a trim, but i said no i dont want a trim. then she said if you were a regular client i would have cut your ends. I was thinking wow what happen to the customer rights. i was stunned and angry thst she would have taking it upon herself to make decisions and knowing clearly i didnt want that service
