OK maybe he didn't actually leave (which I didn't say anyway) but I stick to the statement that he had had enough, since the band effectively doesn't exist any more and have no intention, as far as is known to work together in the forseeable future. Considering that latterly he had been reduced to the role of backing singer with SOAD, with according to the credits very little creative input, my point was no wonder he branched off on his own.

... also if you want to hear Daron Malakian's solo efforts, this is pretty much what the last 2 System albums were wan't it? Still will be interesting to see what he produces under his own name. I personally doubt that it will even beging to rival Elect the Dead though.
