I hula hoop every night for about 40 minutes and I've lost like 15 pounds in 2 weeks. It's so fun I don't even realize that I'm breaking a sweat and my heart rate is up until my playlist runs out and I realize it's time to stop. Anyone who wants to loose weight and tone up should try hooping for fitness. And on the plus side, it's a beautiful dance form that can be done with fire! :D

PERFECT Donna!! Thanks for sharing the info! You can also buy really pretty colors of electric tape online. Hot pink, green and sparkly of all sorts, sizes and colors!! Just look up hoola hoop tape! ;-) Let us know how it goes!

Another tip: The grey, plastic connecter piece. Home Depot. Same size as your tubing! Heat the ends of the tube in boiling water, add connector piece, push in and hold. Use super glue to seal!

Response to top comment--There are great how to make your own hoop videos. I plan to make mine and my neighbor wants to help. We're going in halvsies. She will pay for half of the tubing and I'll pay for the other half. Our families will each net three hoops. (It costs about $25.00 per 100 ft. of tubing).
