It's pretty obvious this isn't to the floor. I'm curious where this car is shifting. It sounds like 4000ish rather than 7000ish where it would at the floor.

If you are curious, I've got a 2000 XK8, and while it isn't supercharged, I've got enough experience to hear and approximate the RPMs.

no dude all jaguars have a restriction on them for there top speed, but if you know how to take it off you can go to the top speed

It was a joke, btw I work at a Jag dealer(Bergstrom Land Rover-Jaguar-Volvo of Appleton)and I can tell you first-hand that the XKR can accelerate faster than that. And yes, I know the speedo is reading kph.

It an do better than that, way better. 0-60 (when new) is 5.1 seconds. In this video s was about 7/8.

Hi, it is the R model; You can hear the supercharger. Moreover, "Supercharged" is written on the rev counter, not on the speedometer.

ya i no i own 1 and have owned previous ones but y i said that its not is you can see the tach a little and didnt see the superchaged emblem and i no you can hear it but it hust doesnt accelerate near as quick as any of mine have

@kita534 its pretty obvious it has a super charger... You can easily hear it, its kind of electronic sounding. The XK8 doesn't have a super charger.
