Never leave your phone plugged in over night. if you over-charge your phone it eats away at the battery over time. only charge your phone when it needs to be charged, if you charge it while the battery is full it is not good for it. NEVER CHARGE IT WHEN YOU GO TO BED. bad news.

If you want to complain about your battery then don't get a phone that can do everything you need. Other than that just look for another batter that has a larger battery life. I can use mine through a 9 hour day at work texting and watching youtube, and get home with 40% or more battery life left.
My battery life was about 8 hours with almost no use at all. Literally maybe 10 minutes of phone use{at most}, no texting,no video and 20 minutes of gps. Keep in mind my phone is not even 2 days old. I have no bias but this battery is horrific. The phone itself is pretty kick ass
The fact is, if you watch vidoes, go online, or are playing with the apps will drain the battery much faster. I bought the phone today, and out of the box it was about 50%. It took me 2 hours to drain it completly, and i was on internet, and playing with apps most of the entire time. So im guessing you have 4hrs at best if your using the phone for other things than calling people. Still a GREAT phone and worth buying an extra battery just incase. :D
Dude you gotta turn down your brightness (to half), shut off GPS (if you really want google spying on you feel free to leave it on), set email to "check" every 15-30 mins instead of 24/7, and make sure wifi isnt on.... obviously..... you can get a good amount of battery life from this phone, just dont be pinning it 24/7. Nice little review though.

Heey i had the G1 and battery was not good at all and I wanted this one but it seems like the palm and g1 battery are very similar. The iPhone battery is amazing and so is the blackberry, is like the best
The battery is loose. Fold up a little piece of paper and put it near the ribbon to get the battery out. It will make it a tighter fit and stop doing that.
1) There's several identified software bugs causing battey leaks (2 well know ones being if you use AIM or POP3 email) and these issues will be fixed in near future updates
2) There is a slightly extended battery available for pre-order at seidioonline [dot] com. It's the same physical size and has 17% more capacity. It's expected a massive 2600mAh one will be out soon after that (though you need a larger backing for that
I drove from Kansas city, Kansas to Ft. Worth, Texas over the wknd.. An 8 hr drive, and I had 10% battery life left when I arrived... I even turned it off at times just to save battery life!! It still drains even with the phone off!!! WTF!!!

yeah i did notice the battery life has gotten better since i got it, but it's still not the best. but i have found many ways to improve. 1 turn of location, u can always input ur zip code for most location apps. 2 turn on wifi if u got wifi at home. 3 brightness all the way down (duhh). 4 bluetooth off (unless ur using it, duhh). i start using my phone at 9am, it gets to 10% by 7-8pm. so not bad, and i am a heavy browser user. mostly browsing texting and some email, minimal voice calls tho.
oh yea well i got up at 3pm (100%) and it died at 9pm
