  • @AlexLF1998 Well done for finding that out.

  • @MyDigtalRealm@drum3433 i found the guy's name he is barry mott at least that what ithink it is!

  • As an American it is hard to reconcile your ability to proclaim God's word in a public event with members of government present. I realize the differences in our traditions and applaud you for being able to preserve this amazing blend of faith, hope and love.

  • Thank you for this post. Is it the Garrison Sargeant Major that leads the muster in the "Three Cheers for Her Majesty the Queen"? That man is the prototypical RSM. They all look like they can grind stone to dust and melt steel with a glare. God Bless all members past and present of Her Majesties Forces. You are much admired as a nation for honouring your veterans.

  • @drum3433 You are probably correct, the chap from Wellington Barracks.

  • @MyDigtalRealm i don't know his name ethier

  • @AlexLF1998 I am glad I wasn't standing next to him with that loud voice.........hahaha

  • @MyDigtalRealm do you know the guy name that shouted THREE CHEERS FOR MAJEST THE QUEEN ?

  • @AlexLF1998 I do not know his name, do you?

  • All people that on earth do dwell,

    Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice.

    Him serve with fear, His praise forth tell;

    Come ye before Him and rejoice.

    The Lord, ye know, is God indeed;

    Without our aid He did us make;

    We are His folk, He doth us feed,

    And for His sheep He doth us take.

  • 0:49, can see the back of my head emerge from the bottom! I was part of the Uppingham School Choir - this day was probably the most humbling and moving day of my life - made all of us feel so lucky and privileged that we have these invariably brave and respectable men willing to fight and risk their lives just to keep us safe. They deserve every bit of the grandeur of this event - as do their families who have suffered so much - how proud they must be though!

  • NOBODY shows honor and respect quite like you Brits!! I watched all three parts on our big screen - what a treat; thank you so much for sharing this!!! Michael D Weidner, USAF - Vietnam era

  • The UK is a Christian country,if I go to another country I respect their faith,I do not expect them to change their faith and tradition because of me.

  • We know of the Festival of Remembrance but we never get to see it..until this...a wonderful effort!!!....Thank-You so very much....Sincerely, Marybeth McC.Heatherly, USMC,Vietnam era...

  • Can anyone tell me at 21.41 what the prayer/hymn/words are? I know it is played to "Sunset" but I am desperate to know what it is. I have looked up Evening Prayer but can't seem to find this one. Many thanks.

  • @belmarmom - there are plenty of catholics, sikhs, hindus etc (and atheists!) who have given their lives for Britain and it's Empire. It would get a bit crowded if we had them all saying prayers. This pays tribute to them all in the British way, with the C of E - the state church - dealing with any religious ceremony. Besides there was a flag-bearer who represented British Jewish servicemen at the start I think. If that's not good enough for some well you can't please everyone.

  • Outstanding - the section (21.22 mins) with the choir singing the Evening Prayer and the marines playing Sunset would\should bring a tear to anyone's eye.

    Nobody quite does ceremony like the Brits.

    Thanks for uploading

  • I'm sure there were also Jewish servicemen and women who gave their lives for their country. Why weren't they honored by the prayers of a Jewish clergyman? It seems unfair that there was no recognition of their sacrifices.

  • @belmarmom The state religion is the Church of England.

  • @belmarmom thats actually a good point but its probably because the church of England is the stage religion on england, the Queens the head of it, so at any state event or national memorial service it is only anglican/church of england bishops that preside over it

  • did u forget to pay the bills that the interference heppend at the end?

  • @ajgurung7 Not quite, it was interference from my MI5 wire sorry.

  • where r the army dogs

  • Pomp and pride!

  • The best of British. Thank you for posting this.
