1. Interior - the yanks interiors are plastic, cheap, ugly and PLASTIC....europeans know quality...that means leather!
2. DIESEL! - 50% of cars sold in EU are diesels...no one is gonna buy an escalde petrol guzzling car...no chance, a diesel MAYBE if its cheap enough...diesel hybrid, maybe even more likely

Can't forget dealer network and parts availability. This affects insurance and overall total cost of ownership greatly.
IMO, the main reasons why the CTS is so successful in the US outside of brand loyalty/heritage is because it has a dealer network that can efficiently service the vehicles, it's more roomy than the competition, and runs on regular gas (most of the euro competition require/recommend premium).
You nailed it with point #2. Getting a car that big in Europe needs a diesel.
Yes we were beat by USA :(. It was a a game of goalies, and it seems Brodeur played like ass, but our team dominated mostly in the 1st & 2nd. Miller did an amazing job at stopping our shots.

BTW, Losing a game does not mean losing the Olympics.

hahaha i love how canada i known for its hockey, yet we came 7th last olympics, did'nt win the world juniors, and probably will be lucky to get the bronze. w.e noone can beat uss at the fine art of making maple syrup and riding polar bears

if they want to sell in Europe...2 important things :
1. Interior - the yanks interiors are plastic, cheap, ugly and PLASTIC....europeans know quality...that means leather!
2. DIESEL! - 50% of cars sold in EU are diesels...no one is gonna buy an escalde petrol guzzling car...no chance, a diesel MAYBE if its cheap enough...diesel hybrid, maybe even more likely
in 2009 hummer sold 1 H2 in the whole of UK !! ONE! its proof that they should just give up

Can't forget dealer network and parts availability. This affects insurance and overall total cost of ownership greatly.
IMO, the main reasons why the CTS is so successful in the US outside of brand loyalty/heritage is because it has a dealer network that can efficiently service the vehicles, it's more roomy than the competition, and runs on regular gas (most of the euro competition require/recommend premium).
You nailed it with point #2. Getting a car that big in Europe needs a diesel.

Yes we were beat by USA :(. It was a a game of goalies, and it seems Brodeur played like ass, but our team dominated mostly in the 1st & 2nd. Miller did an amazing job at stopping our shots.
Oh well, at least we are 4th so far with 4G 4S 1B, nothing compared to the 6G 6S 10B that USA has :(
