I hated Connor. I see why he does all that he does, but that doesn't excuse it. How angel forgave him for trapping him in a box underwater for three months with no blood to feed on is beyond me. I'd have killed that fucker as soon as I had the strength.
Eh, personally, I never hated Connor. I know he did bad things, sold out Angel and his friends more than once but he did grow up in the worst place imaginable. I still remember that episode when he explains to Angel why he's so good at tracking...Holtz was a freakinig monster. In my opinion he was worse than Angelus. Angelus didn't have a soul. Holtz did and yet he still completely destroyed a child for a revenge kick
was bawling @ this scene. always loved connor, he annoyed me when he couldnt just love & be happy with angel in the last couple of eps but understood why he acted the way he did specially in this scene. he grew up in hell fighting since he could probably walk, raised by a man with vengeance who told him lies, talked shit about his dad all his life & how his mom never loved him (lie),went from living in this hell world to earth & felt a bit like a freak & unloved. holtz really got his vengeance :(
I didn't care for the Jasmine episodes at all and this was sad but what made me mad was watching Darla actually see her son on a previous episode and Connor believed "Evil Cordy" over his mother who gave her life for him to live. All these episodes, did something to the heart,it was crazy to be so into and love a show on TV like this, or is it?
I own angel season 2 - 5 and i still don't understand y angel did what lilah wanted him to. He should have made it to where Connor had new memories where angel was his father and he should have joined angel and them at wolf ram and heart if he thought he had no other way to save his son. Erasing his memories i can understand but giving him up was the wrong thing to do.
@Connerluver4 Angel knew he was making a deal with the devil and wanted Connor as far from W&H (who wanted to dissect Connor before he was born!) as possible. But far from Angel, too. Just being Angel's son ruined Connor's life -- he got taken to the darkest of the dark worlds and fashioned into a weapon by Angel's enemy. As long as Connor was connected to Angel, he was screwed.
Yeah Jasmine totally wanted to give u everything except those couple of hundred peope she ate! I cry everytime at this scene i love connor and angel best father and son ever
Connor was such a prick, Always betraying Angel and his friends, hell He went past the moral even horizon when he let Jasmine/Cordy murder that innocent girl, he should have been killed off at that arc, the little bastard.
Connor... emo teen extraodinaire. Well, at least he has an excuse, what with the whole growing up in a hell dimension thing, that's a good justification for super nihilistic angst!
I've always had the biggest crush on Connor, I felt his pain, even though he was p.o. most of the time, I had this smile on my face in all of his scenes, he kept me watching Angel. This scene makes me wanna ball.
In season 5 on an episode called 'origin' was the saddest connor bit for me...
SPOILER;
It was so sad when connor returned and got all of his painful memories back. And at the end when he says "gotta do what it takes to protect your family, I learn that from my father"that means angel? Love that episode!! I'm glad him and angel have finally worked things out (last episode) when angel and connor spend the day together and connor says that he knows angels his dad!
but connor had the opportunity to start over and he fucked it up himself.matter fact he started to get annoying because every time he had the chance he betrayed them somehow.i was happy when he was gone.
@TheNewLife2Live, when people have had a life as sucky as Connor did, expecting them to just get over it and be able to make the right choices isn't realistic. It takes time (years, even decades) for someone who's really screwed up because of some trauma in their lives to really learn to live in a healthy way. And Connor never had that time.
The saddest scene is after this one, when angel goes to see connor for the last time. He watches him through the window with his new family. It broke my heart.
I was so affected by this when I watched it, I couldn't stop crying. And I LOVED Connor! When he left the show I was so depressed.
Apart from that though, the messages "Angel" sends is just amazing, and it's really upsetting that the show got cancelled. Another thing that's disappointing is that Joss Wheden doesn't credit Angel in interviews or whatever, when it was and still is such a powerful show!
Such great acting and such a moving scene. It was so easy for Angel fans to get annoyed at Connor. He was angry, negative, and not 100% trustworthy. And also kind of an ass. BUT, we fans often forget what Connor went through. He was in hell (literally) for years, always in a state of flight or fight... never able to rest emotionally or physically. And during that whole time, he was led to believe that Angel was evil. Of course he had relationship problems. Poor guy! I I'm glad he's happy now.
when Conor says 'you let him (Holtz) get me' it really brings home the fact that what Holtz put Conor through was child abuse. And then people wonder why Conor was so unhappy and angry...
;_; I loved Conor, and this scene broke my heart for both of them :,(
@MoonPhase94 hell yeah when i first saw this episode along time ago no homo i started
to shed tearz cuz damn holtz really did have his revenge in the end Angel lost his son for good even when
he came back from hell demension or got his mind wiped with a new life either way he lost him. i wish connor was good from the beginning but fuck it he was a beast in the show. The Destroyer.
okay so angel had to give up his son because connor had gone on a psycho rampage when he realizes he can never be happy and have a family so connor holds people hostage at a mall and angel makes a deal with lilah to give connor a happy life but to do that he had to kill him first then connor would be reborn but would not remember anything about angel fred gunn or anybody and he would be with a diffrent family I KNOW IT'S CONFUSING SORRY I CANT EXPLAIN BETTER
@darkangel1468 Did he have to be killed? i don't remember that part.
I think it was suppose to trick you that angel killed him, but then it just filled the audiance in later that his memory was just taken away
the reason i say that is because in the final season connor gets his memory back from the demon thing, but it never mentioned anything about him dieing.

Connor and Angel are so much alike, it always bugged me that fans could love one and hate the other. Pure fandom politics.

Connor was used by Holtz and by the thing that took over Cordy. All he really wanted was for his dad to love him in the end.

The series angel is not connected to Buffy the vampire slayer is it? If it is, what is the difference between the two series?
OPiheart04 8 months ago
@OPiheart04 It's a spinoff, Angel leaves Buffy after season 3 and moves to L.A. "Angel The Series" is his wacky misadventures in LA after that.
