  • I think if you look to a group called Booker T & the M G's, you'll find the origins of this music and you'll also find musical history from the Stax Studio which dwarf Clint Eastwood at this time.

Booker T's little bands names are, each and every one, FAMOUS in music. Look 'em up on Youtube and enjoy some seriously cool vibes.

  • ..... DRAW !!!.....

  • Seriously, folks, it doesn't sound Western. At all.

  • This ain't sound Western, gunslinga. Meet me in the tough side a town at noon.

  • WESTERN!!!!!!!!!!

  • One of the greatest freakin' Western soundtracks of all time. I feel like taking out Osama bin Laden right now.

  • They should remake this song and call it "High Noon" :D

  • who else thinks hang em high just like rdr, i mean at the begining of rdr john marston gets shot and left to die, at the begining if hang em high cooper gets hung and left to die, in both the game and the film someone finds him and get him back to better health. (sort of in hang em high) then both men have to find and kill/capture people they have previously interacted with, and ends up with some being killled and somebeing captured. am i the only one who think rockstar got the idea of rdr from

  • @Biffen1812 well ... you're right, but I think rdr also got their idea's from 3:10 to Yuma :)

  • @Haqwi what year?

  • @banditash72 1986, sorry for the late reply.

  • @phantomempire @jorge4548 the Ned Nash Orchestra...it is more likely a cover for the purpose of having a more recent version that could be digitially converted for Amazon MP3/iTunes dowloads :)

  • @phantomempire its the "Ned Nash Orchestra" performing "Hang 'm High"

  • @phantomempire

Booker T and the MG's did a good version back when, but not this one. Take a listen to the MG's version, it's a live tape from the early 90's.

  • @phantomempire its by ned nash orchestra of the greatest western movie themes album, if im correct

  • @XJordanx89 ...Oh Cool !! Thank you for your reply ,,Ned Nash !!! now we know!

  • good music. is it disco?(i am asking these because check out the sound in 0.34) wat year - 1968 - or some other year.

  • it sounds a little like disco but i think it is the real theme

  • Nope. Not original. The original is by Dominic Frontiere. Although, I must confess, I like this one better than the original.

  • @sniperz77 same here, I got this version on one of those soundtrack compilation cds. I listened to the original and decided I prefer the cover xD

  • @sniperz77

Are you sure? I saw this movie tonight, and this is exactly the version they played in it. No vocals or something else.

  • @sniperz77 CAN'T agree with you better myself friend.
