  • 20世紀、アメリカの最重要ナンバー、デューク・エリントン"ブラック・アンド・タン・ファンタジー"、あしげく通った35年前博多井尻のジャズ喫茶 #jazzm

  • I enjoyed the music.

  • Heh, as if there was not crap music then. Every generation seems to figure that the world has never been worse...

    Great music!

  • @TheGravity07 OMG thank you. you are the very first person i've seen say that. and it's so true

  • @knaliprice97 consider woody allen's newish film Midnight in Paris for your viewing pleasure and some commentary on the flaw of nostalgia

  • does this remind anyone else of early tom & jerry episodes??

  • @Wellsypig15 Yeah, I was gonna say I think they may have used some of these in some of those cartoons for sure.

  • @Wellsypig15 That's exactly what I was thinking earlier today!

  • love the "wahwahwah" noises and the ending cadence the "interrupted" cadence, where it starts to play the song of death. Pretty cool =]

  • this shit go hard my nigga!

  • @HopelessSoldiers Ohh i thought it was the trumpet playing, I'm learning this in big band at the moment, Its an interesting technique/effect to try to pull off :P

  • the trumpet solo with the mute sounds like someone saying "blah blah blah" In a really weird way! Love this, its awesome (: x

  • @skittylover6157 actually thats Joe Nanton, a trombonist who does all those plunger effects.

  • @HopelessSoldiers Yes, it's the trumpet! The blah, blah blah is from BUBBER MILEY! He died very young. Very gifted man.

  • I wish I had a time machine fuck the 2000s

  • @clintisfake Haha. Yeah... I think the same too.

Actually, I was just thinking about the mess music is in today (I.e. Lady Gaga, need I name anymore?) when Chopin's funeral march came in for the last four bars of the song :') How fitting.

  • @clintisfake lol I agree with the whole 2000's the world is going to a dump, but it was really hard to be in that generation because of the depression.

  • @clintisfake you could smoke cigs everywhere, drink at work --> heaven

  • @jrbillz151 Not to mention the great depression, racism and an impending war lol.

  • @clintisfake Yea have fun with the great depression and segregation. Should be a blast. Fortunately we dont need a time machine to listen to great music.

  • im doing the course now! enjoying it loads!

and im a drummer for gods sake!

great peice of music to study!

  • I had to study this for alevel music, it was a really bad time for me, the course was terrible, but always enjoyed endlessly listening to this piece

  • Me too! the course was terrible but i loved this piece! I love the wahwahwah bits :)

  • This is the third version Duke recorded of this song in 1927, but it's also THEE hit version, both it and it's B-side, "Creole Love Call", became top ten hits in 1928!
