I miss Inside Grand Prix when they shown a segment of a race 30 years ago. Why they stop doing this after 2006 is unknown. I say because in 2007, they would have to show the Kaylami race. Same thing with F1 Decade, I was looking foward to 2008 when they were going to show the 1998 Belgian GP back when they shown it in 2005. Too bad that never happened.
Modern F1 drivers have no guts racing in those cars and on such racetracks. On top of that, they are not anymore gentleman like Fittipaldi and Brambilla (2:26 onward) which were showing such a great care and respect for each other after they ruined each others race. They hugged each other and crossed the track. Brilliant lesson!
The amazing thing is how much different were the cars of each team. And still they could battle even for the podium. Nowadays F1 cars look all the same but one can round a lap 2 seconds faster than the others...
John Watson won the race and lost his beard after his first win because his appointment with Roger Penske if he would win his first GP for the Penske team.
What a fantastic race! I could dig that tpday = five or six different teams genuinely in contention for the win even at the halfway point. I can't think of a grand prix like that in the past three or four years.

THis track is just perfect for staying together. Overtaking is one thing, getting away is another.
GReat racing, i love this track in online racing. Although i only know the track with the chicane after start/finish.

They used a shot from Hans Stuck from a previous year -- at 00:29 you can see his car has a tall airscoop, they were banned months before.
