  • You have the best videos. Don't ever delete this account.

  • Didn't he play Zishe Breitbart in the film Invincible?

  • @mastermultitasker yup. he was also in Kingdom of Heaven

  • this guy looks very small but damn he is strong!

  • @MrPhoneshare Real strength doesn't come through mass, strength training and mass training are completely different.

  • @shredhead667 true that,im currently strength training, gonna get as strong as i can before i need more mass

  • 8:10, for the 170k stone, the stone actually says 160k!! lol

  • Why did this guy never go to mma.

  • @christofferjulin Because he's straight.

  • @christofferjulin just because your big doesnt mean you would be good in mma.

  • lol never pick it up to your knees then your chest thats exactly what he is doing :P

  • best part from 0:00 to 9:43 :D

  • @0:32 - Holy shit!!!

  • if all the platforms were hip height he would dominate!

  • god damn, brain hemorrhage @0:32

  • Jouko Ahola is my favorite strongman because of his ability to win WSM 2X despite his much smaller size amongst the other competitors. He is Finnish too, so why not?

  • 1:35 "however, i never had the big bench press needed to do well in contests... Only second in the Finnish and Scandinavian Championships, and fifth in the World Championships..." LOL

  • @xabcx Actually he is talking about powerlifting competitions under 21 yrs.

  • Jouko does not fart. He generates thunder that shakes the very foundations of the Earth.

  • taustalla autojen aatelia: Mazda 323

  • i love how the video starts with that massive grunt, totally gets me in the mood

  • you know you are badass when you nose busts out bleeding and you still finish the lift

  • great.....

  • he mixed protein shake with orange juice!?! cool!

  • I'm starting of my strong man career, and I was wondering is it possible to order those stones from ebay or elsewhere?

  • @miesmakuusi your best bet is probably to find a local powerlifting/strongman gym in your area, and use their equipment. The problem with ordering for yourself is that shipping costs will be ridiculously expensive. Having that said, I have no idea where you can get the stones.

  • @yeagemk thx for info!

  • @miesmakuusi Slatershardware sells atlas stone molds.

  • @ignorantcracka wow, there seems to be nothing that cannot be bought nowadays. Thanks bro!

  • @miesmakuusi good luck with your training!

  • His car is so small, and he's massive lol

  • funny how he lifts the way, he tell people NOT to...

  • Apart from his amazing performances and the fact that he is a finnish champion which means I sorta have to root for him, he seems to be a genuinely down to earth and nice person. A lot of the other competitors sort of give off an impression of being really full of themselves and arrogant as shit, and thats not cool.

  • How do you get the stones back off the block once he has lifted them?

  • @jaredhind he just pull it and runs away like a bitch when it's falling down lol An Atlas Stone landing on a foot would not be a really beatiful scene.

  • @ 0:32 wat happened to him

  • @terrapatra

He was lifting 360 kg or 793 lbs and his blood pressure in his body/head rose so high that it started to come from his nose. Some people have so weak veins in their nose that a little hit in the nose can cause nose bleeding, or like in this case when he lifted the weight he held his breath and like I said blood pressure became so high that nose veins couldn't hold that enormous pressure.

    Hope this explains what happened!!!

sorry for my English if there's errors in my text.

  • @terrapatra he was the strongman champ in 97' and again in 99' ........now, he would be about 40 years old. He just helps out in the strongman events now ): It's a shame because he is my favorite.

  • He says: 'now I'm going to show you how it SHOULD be done'. He does not use the same weights or heights as were used in competitions at the time, so his comment does not apply to this training session, rather the competitions to come. He also says that with these heights it is different. It might also be the case that he's already done some training, so his technique has already broken down a bit. The translation is not complete, some of his comments are left out.

  • 7:33 superfart

  • Where do you buy this DVD? Jouko does a superb job of instructing the the strongman lifts! Finnish is an awesome language too!

  • Whats funny is that he says dont stop at your knees and then your chest for the atlas stones yet thats exactly what he does, for each and every one.

  • @crazyboutnaruto12 I noticed that, myself. Everyone has their own way of doing things. I tried the atlas stones, which by the way is the most difficult event because the stones have absolutely no place to grip, and there is no way I could get even the lightest stone without bringing it to my knees first and then thrusting it up.

  • @fknturd Sounds tough, very tough. I wholeheartedly wish I could say I've tried the stones but I have no right to criticize anyone, especially this 2-Time WSM winner, due to the fact that I am just 15. But I will, soon. (:

  • @crazyboutnaruto12 I agree. I could never criticize the man, because he was the best at the time, and I think he is the lightest man to ever win the WSM championship. He isn't a small man, but he's far from a giant. And yet he is a consistent winner against guys way bigger than himself.

  • @fknturd Definitely the shortest. And yeah, 2 times is a huge deal actually, amazing what he does.

  • @crazyboutnaruto12 Maybe there is a mistake in the translation.

  • He weighted 120kg that time.

  • He designs the equipment for WSM.

  • yroslav yeah its a little pant ripper.haha

  • What the fuck's normal?

Wearing face creams and listening to top 40 albums?

These men strive to be all they can be, achieve that and still don't get 1/10th the recognition they deserve. Real respectable men.

  • 5:02 Fart ??!?!?

  • :DD

  • LOL!!!

  • I think it is, but makes this video more authentic. :D

  • awesome ears!! i never heard it until i went back and turned the volume up! haha!

  • @yroslav protein-shake fueled fart. the worst kind.

  • @desmonds22 LOL it's true!

  • @desmonds22 uuuuughhhh... Yes, that kind smells really bad

  • My my... Completely crazy.

  • when is nose started bleeding, that was insane

  • pound for pound he's probably the strongest, and defenitely the most tenacious strongman ever, he is also the lightest one, maybe not the lightest to ever compete in strongman but surely the lightest to become world champion, which he did twice..

  • how tall is he? thats impress that he was a light strongman who won

  • He is 185cm, dunno how many feet that is

  • Thats how tall I am.Its 6'1 inch.

  • how much does he weigh?

  • @emosdieslow about 120kg, which is 265lbs during his prime

  • guys got 100 pounds on me and he's considered a light strongman. crazy stuff

  • 120kg for an sm is very very light

  • jouko was my favourite world strongest man,

  • 3:43 kohdassa mainostauko

  • according to one interviewer, jouko said he could bench press 220 kg, or 484 pounds

  • listen to kimi räikkönen right after this guy. xDD

  • vaistomaisesti vedin ite varpaat taakse kun toi kivi tipahti. =)

  • I fucking love Joukos training videos...he trains pretty fucking heavy and intense, no fake...and he teaches pretty interesting things...

  • YAAAAARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

  • My favorite strongman and the first person to get me interested in the sport. He was fairly lean, fast, agile and not just a big puffy huge guy you might expect.

  • @Blundering08 God damn right (: same as me! One of the lightest, succesful strongmen ever. I first saw him and have been training hard since. 600 lb deadlift at 180 pounds 5 foot 11................I wanna be him (:

  • @Blundering08

    + on steroids you idiot

  • He was fifth in the World Championships and says he has a weak bench press? I wonder what he considers "weak," 600lbs raw?

  • Ha I was thinking the same thing; his idea of a 'weak' bench press is probably unattainable for mere mortals. I wouldn't be surprised if he had over 500 raw bp.

  • True. It doesn't look like he has the body for bench pressing (compared to other strong men), which requires short arms and a puffy chest. I bet his pecs are just as powerful as the rest of them, but he would have to go down further with the bench press, which makes it insanely harder.

  • i hink he lifts around 500. that is great but some guys like kaz could bench nearly 700lbs.

  • I think that he was so good in deadlift and squat that it made up for his relatively weak bench.

  • He's got a very unique build; perfect for deadlifting. Long legs, very long arms, narrow shoulder girdle, huge traps. He doesn't have much V-taper, but his back is thicker than a bull's.

  • short legs are the perfect type for deadlifting.

  • short legs are the perfect type for dancing

  • what language is he speaking??

  • Finnish
