as I loved Duran Duran in the 80's, a filtered down punk band, I can't help thinking who stood the test of time longer? Sure punk was a great movement for the time and it cleaned out a lot of music snobbery at the time. But the trouble with the movement is it got mixed up with fashion and it became thin and instantly forgettable, Pink Floyds music was well crafted - intelligent and will have a lengevity that will far surpass Duran or 3 chord bands of the late 70's any day.
