This sounds like a possible outtake from the Pompeii sessions. If you compare "Set Controls For The Heart Of The Sun", there's a great Dave and Rick combined moment. It's also where Rick is soloing infront of a slide show of volcanic rocks. Or It could even be an outtake from the Zabriskie Point stuff....if so it ties in with the 1969 date you have. That sounds very much like the middle part of "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun", especially like on their Live at Pompeii performance of the song.
This is really interesting! The organ at the beginning sounds a bit too clean and clinical to be a Farfisa Compact Duo (I own one) but from the moment the repeat percussion and echo come on at 0:26 it's sounds spot on as does the guitar and bass. The echo sounds like Binson on both the organ and guitar. If this isn't PF then it's a masterpiece of re-creating the Floyd sound of that time. It's unmistakeably Set The Controls and the recording quality is amazing if it really is from that era!

Yeah I hear a lot of Oenone here from the Zabreskie Point sessions. The high wailing guitar is like the intro to Echoes or Set the Controls for the heart of the sun or something, like the Pompeii version. I don't think its a soundcheck, is it maybe a Pompeii out-take?
It sounds very much like a Zabriskie Point out-take to me - it's very reminiscent of Oenone

I think it is fake. Too clean sounding for 1969 without the rest of the song. No one would do a soundboard recording of just a minute.
Plus no vocals.
All someone needs to do to fake this is get a keyboard programed to sound like Rick's. Not to hard.
