I love it -- "There's a ton of guitar players out there that are better than me... But none of them are in Bad Religion" Definition of dont give a fuk
Brian; how much do you ask for a private lesson. Í´d like to learn to play all the great stuff of Dag Nasty (including Epitaph stuff and with Shawn Brown): Leo is dead it is not the end of the world; great lyrics on Field Day. I imported some copies of these from Margit (We Bite Records) even though I prefer that Giant cd version (including the Ruts; All Ages Show and so on) Cheers but no beers! I am straight edge for this life as well as my wife! Be blessed!
Damn those guitars for being so expensive though! I just got my first guitar and I tried to play like this one guy in a video(he did it in slomo) and it sounded like total shit! Nothing like it, my cheap beginner guitar doesn't sound good at all, idk bout you but it makes learning a lot harder for me
he got 100 Les Paul Customs after that. the gibson manager probably fired 10 responsible employees after realizing that brian was not on the gibson endorsment list.
@badreligion76 sry but i really dont like bad religions vocals , i mean im more into dez cadena , henry rollings style , never really liked the spoken nor melodic vocals ....
I love Bad Religion and I think Brian is pretty good, but he always plays the same. I know it's "just punk rock", but Bad Religion isn't just any punk band. BR has 3 guitar players and its disappointing that all 3 play barre chords at the same time. He does the same solo every song. A lot of potential really....
"There are thousands of people who play guitar better than I am.. than I do. However, none of them are in Bad Religion"
He's implying that he's the best guitar player in Bad Religion? He's definitely the fastest, but Hetson is just as good at making his solos sound good.
@lastangelsofrock how loud do you need it? ha ha. honestly dude bugera makes decent tube heads for the money. for the money they actually do compare to marshall (sound wise)
I love Bad Religion, Dag Nasty and Minor Threat but this guy sounds like a fucking arrogant jerk. I love how he points out that his Gibson Les Paul is the most important thing for his guitar playing and then says the logo is covered because he won't shill for anybody. Umm...thanks Brian, but I think you just did.
If you wanna know a good amp for punk rock there is only Marshall, primarily the jcm900 but I doubt you can afford one out of pocket. Luckily almost ANY Marshall works just the same. Most come as tube and in stacks as standard so take a look them. Best amps period dude, no lie.
yeah especially the walking bass note idea.. you can hear it in almost every popular blink song, and most other popular 'punk' songs these days. haha i just read your name, pd!
Brian's first band in DC even before Minor Threat was "Crossbow" a high school cover band with Scott Rolle, the former Frederick County Maryland DA. They did a reunion (sans Brian) in Dec 2006. You can see the video on here "Crossbow Reunion"
When doesnt Jay laugh. He's like 'let me drown you out with my rock lady!' haha. Brain is so very funny I think that if BR ever stopped he should start doing leasons.
Brian Baker has been a role model of mine since I was in Elementary school. His work in Dag Nasty, Minor Threat and Bad Religion is something to be admired by everyone

Minor threat and ian hate the term emo even thought fugazi and dag nasty are influential to the creation of the genre.
