  • Fuck my zerglings arent killing them! Maybe if i build more zerglings...

  • moe lester is my friends name

  • he should use sentrys..

  • blue had really good micro

  • People writing that "Protoss player bad" or "zerg player bad", please shut it. They are actually pretty good. Remember this video is from 2010 when SC2 was very young! GG, good strat video :)

  • Protoss is overpowered. Zerg can't do shit against them

  • @unreall03

Are you kidding? Over half the zerg players I face rush me before I even get my first zealot.

  • @TimeWolf26 then u should go 6 supply gateway...

  • 00:19 Will go ahead and go straight into "nirvana vission"

  • Zerg Player is bad >>>> 9:52

  • Make a video of Zerg countering the deathball. Lol Protoss is such a joke race

  • its just about 9 gate tech... you could have only sentries and you win aswell

  • This just proves that terran is OP

  • all you need is colossols..

  • @Munchupyourwaffles collosi...?

  • what, the toss player was bad? the ZERG player was really bad... not even geting a backup roach warren - which would have greatly helped him, considering how much gas he was mining all the time; building only 2 spines when faced with the threat of a midgame push; taking no advantage of his lair (hydra den), which was also very late... he must have been at 1000 gas ;)

  • man drones are op....

  • Meanwhile in Bronze League..

  • that protoss player was bad

  • @jhole221 since u say he's bad, does that mean u can do better than him?

  • @wensp167 if he played the way he did in this vid, then yeah. im top dia random

  • @jhole221 look at the date....

  • @jhole221 He's a top grandmaster in SEA.

  • @AssFragger He played like a silver

  • @jhole221 Then we will assume that the SEA server is terrible.

  • Why didn't he just fucking blink instead of killing those rocks?

  • NIRVANA!!? they have time to be dead and play starcraft but they cant make an album?!

  • indeed stalkers are fast and most zergs units are kinda slow with no creep like hydras and roaches lings are friggin fast especially with wings and i think ultralist are faaast idk but anyways blinks make them fawking faster GO PROTOSS

  • 13 minute into the game and he has no hydra or infestors? r

    eally?

  • Roses are red

    Violets are blue

I hate when poems are top comments

    Cuz they suck -.-

  • @TheGoodkat44 nice try

  • @DudMan2111 no really

  • how do u counter this as zerg?

  • @GODvsAbc lings with wings maybe add some creep they move like 4.7 or somthang

  • how can u click low health stalkers so fast and blinkonlythem? i would likeneed 5 sec to click the low health stalkersand blink them away

  • why not jsut blink over your own warpgates ;P

  • aaaaw those zergling look so cute. huh Nids are still better than these cheap knock offs.

  • @IIIMAVER1CK And Xenomorphs are a lot more cooler than the cheap knock off known as the Tyranid, so, bugger off, kid.

  • @davidgahan217 pretty much the whole thing is original compared to SC 2 where you see a mix of WOW units and bad copies like the reaper a weak useless Hit and run unit that only can kill workers etc etc the lis goes on.

  • @IIIMAVER1CK The Tyranid-idea was completely inspired by Alien's Xenomorph back in the late sixties. I don't see what the "weak" Reaper has to do with claiming that the Zerg is a Tyranid rip-off. Now, I didn't play World of Warcraft but I'm pretty sure that StarCraft 2 is a sci-fi game and World of Warcraft is not, so I'm sure what you're asying is wrong. Last but not least, you don't seem to know what "hit and run" means, so please, do not talk about it.

  • @davidgahan217 i pretty much do know what hit and run means. its self explanatory but Gamesworkshop do had law suits with star craft you can wiki or google it if you wish. and i know so cause i played wow once on a privat server it sucked ass and thats why i know that some units look similiar to those in wow.

  • @IIIMAVER1CK The fuck cares if they've had law suits with StarCraft, they didn't win shit, and you know why? Because they had no reason to. Their arguements were dumb, and they knew it. Everybody knew it.

  • @davidgahan217 they did get something cause BStar Craft would have been a Warhammer game. if you havnt nooticed Blizzard was working with Gamesworkshop to create a game. fortunately they pulled out cause they didnt like what blizz was doing and dropped everything thats why alot of units look the same because they borrowed heavily from Warhammer 40k.

  • @IIIMAVER1CK Exactly. They didn't like what Blizzard was doing. You're now saying that Blizzard did not "steal" anything from the Warhammer franchise. They didn't "borrow" any units, at all, they helped creating them, realized they couldn't make the same and instead, they created other units INSPIRED by the Tyranid race, the same Tyranid race Blizzard was partly created.

  • @davidgahan217 dude you know that nids where already invented in the 1080s they had the models. they just didnt want to work with Bilzzard. And i in fact did say that blizz took alot of units look at the ravenor than look at the hydralisk. there is a clear similarity. I dont think your very familiar with 40 k to beginn with. and the Armor suits look almost like the armor of the terminators.

  • @IIIMAVER1CK Mate, the Xenomorph have existed since the 60's. Blizzard didn't get inspiration from the Ravener but from the Xenomorph from the Alien movies. Regardless, even if they DID take inspiration from the Warhammer franchise, and the Ravener in particular, it'd still be the ONLY unit that they've gained inspiration from. Similarities are all around us. It's called innovation.

  • arent zealots with legs a hell lot better vs lings?

  • @Yatchinator No, it is not free. You can download it for free (it takes a lot of time to download it, so if you're planning on getting it someday, the earlier, the better), but in order to play it, you need to have an account and a serial number provided by Blizzard(which you must buy). You should find said serial in the box of the game once you get it.

  • and what do you do when they come with early muta?

  • @Argentknight16 you should've a healthy amount of stalkers (you can easily get blink too) by then. If you're using only blink stalkers, you should split them a little so they don't take the too much damage from the mutas. Blink them away as their shields get low. Archons are GREAT to counter the mutas (you should back them up with stalkers, sentries with guardian shield and some psi storms, bc if u do it decently, the mutas won't stand a chance).

  • @Argentknight16 stomp them with the stalkers ?

  • i keep thinking that's a ton of stalkers for 8 minutes

you could steam roll him he's not even expecting it.

If that zerg had more spines and some burrowed roaches or banelings and zerglings it might have been better, but I would have probably lost.

  • WOW! Not sure if its just this particular game but I never realized how Protoss replays from their point of view are sooo boring.... Production tab was the most excitement I got out of that. Should probably be showing both players.

Anywhoo zerg was newb. I mean no countering of the units (like fuck get a few roaches man!) Or even better use ur spines?? Why did he keep chasing after the stalkers instead of falling back??

    Newb z protoss unimpressive

  • I love this strategy, people who are zerg rage so much cuz all of my stalkers live.

blink is the most fun way to micro^-^

  • thumbs up for trying this and failing so bad that your oppentent calls you a noob even if though you are 2 leagues higher than he is ^^

  • @MultiTReilly Yay for trying to fail at a thumbs up =)

  • Nirvana vision FTW

  • why didn't the blink stalkers blink past the destructible rocks??

  • @TheReaperNerd he would have needed sometthing to spot the high ground like an observer, and he never built a robotics, so he had no way to spot the high ground, so he would have never been able to blink up there.

  • this will never help me... he just makes roaches/mutalisk and I loose

  • @Amomentforever You loose with stalkers vs mutas? bad

  • @Amomentforever LOSE, L-O-S-E not loose as in the rope is loose its LOSE as in i lost i will LOSE, LOSE LOSE. i dont understand why this is hard, christ..

  • why did he only make lings? was this arranged?

  • 4:40 dude how did you do hat, i mean, manage a click atack, and also expanding at the same time,

  • very nice strategy worked great just have one prob. How do you counter a 6 pool rush?? and what if they go mutas???

  • @krillzhd

Since Blink Stalkers are basically a hard counter to mutas, you really have no problem if they go muta-ling. If you keep up the blink micro, you are golden against it as long as you prevent a surround on yourself.

As for a six-pool, the only way to really counter a six pool is by scouting it and walling off. Send a probe over to their base at the very beginning of the match and if there is already a pool up, slap down a gateway and chrono out a zealot or 2. You should be fine.

  • @xacaciastrainx THX FOR THE HELP APPRICIATE IT! just one more thing i always play against one of my friends hes always going mass ling to counter my expansion point. ANd then hes pushing with mutas and attacking my probes and when i try to attack he can easily flee

  • @krillzhd

2 solutions to having your expansion over-run by mass lings.

    1. Use a fast expo. Just vid-search "Forge Fast Expand" and you'll get a million tutorials.

Photon cannons are your best friends.

    2. If you are putting down an expo and it is not an early one (It's early if it's before the 6 minute mark for Toss), then you usually need to push with your army to cover for it. Be sure to scout always, and if he has mass lings, Zealots will take a dump on him. Especially in a choke point.

  • @krillzhd

Yeah, Muta harass is the WORST. Absolute worst. The best way to counter it is to know it's coming beforehand. Knowledge is key. Always always always. If you make an observer, fly him over your friend's base and see a spire already built, then there are mutas either already out, or being built and will be on the board at the latest in 33 seconds.

Warp in stalkers to counter, be sure to leave some at all of your expos, (5 is usually enough to scare off a flock) and primarily, CANON UP.

  • @krillzhd

But be sure not to over-compensate. If you make too many stalkers without blink, then you will get owned by muta-ling. Don't forget about his other unit types. If you know he's going Muta, but also that he has Roach-Hydra, your Stalkers will get owned if you make nothing else.

Also, just so you know if you're new: FORCE FIELDS ARE AMAZING.

If you have a sizeable army, or even if you are running high on gas, be sure to slap down a few Sentries for support.

    They are game changers.

  • So many lings? not a good choice to make your main wall your gate... lings are one metamorph away from Banes. All this guy had to do was blast the gates down and he would have owned the protoss base... This smells heavily rigged to me.

  • @Baeron Maybe not rigged, but a lack of common sense :P

  • @Baeron

    Not to me at all.

Lings are a counter to Stalkers if they don't have blink. So much harrass was going down at the Z's base, he did not have the time or money to bother going for a baneling nest. Not to mention if he did go baneling (which are incredibly ineffective against protoss shields), then what? He would detonate the only units he has (remember, no roach warren) and then the Toss would walk all over him.

Banelings would have been an awful idea imo.

He did what he could with lings.

  • well tactics? this zerg guy had like 8 zerglings:) how could you lose

  • can someone help me? im good as protoss against terran, but idk against zerg.. what counters;

    hydralisks

    mutalisks

    ultralisks

    banelings

    zerglings

    roaches

    brood lord

  • @eRussell3 starcraft (dot) wikia (dot) com

Lots of infos on all units and what counters them :)

Hydralisks can be countered by almost any tier two unit from Protoss with decent micro, provided it's pure Hydras. A combination on Zealots and Stalkers should do just fine

    Mutalisks are countered by Phoenixes.

Ultralisks can be countered by any air unit except the phoenix, or by Stalkers with decent micro (blink is recommended)

I tried to type more but there is a limit on youtube... check the wikia!

  • @eRussell3 colossi counters zerglings, banelings and hydralisks

    immortals counters roaches and ultralisks

blink stalkers, phoenixes and high templar counters mutalisks

anything air unit counters brood lord. Blink stalker beats brood lords without infestor support.

  • @eRussell3 Hydras - colossi, zealots (charge will help alot) high templar

Mutalisk - Blink stalkers or pheonixes but i recommend blink stalkers

ultralisks - Immortals are your best bet but void rays and other air units that can attack ground will do the trick obviously.

Banelings - Any unit that isnt lightly armoured like stalkers, immortals, colossi, ect.. (zealots are lightly armoured)

    zerglings - Zealots

    Roaches - immortals

    Broodlord - Blink stalkers

    These are hard counters btw

  • Which is the best first upgrade in the forge?

I usually do shields first, so my stalkers can be in battle longer, does it really matter?

  • @Linux1man against zerg you usually want to get +1 weapons first. Nobody really researches shield upgrade until their weapon and armour are maxed, because its 2x more expensive.

  • micro'd ur macro

  • Is there a way to keybind pull back the low hp stalkers? :)

Great video and I will try this :)

  • To me, The Stalkers looks like a midget version of Colosus

  • @ultramander It does lol! I think that Colossi should also have Blink and Stalkers should also have Thermal Lances... =D

  • @navrozlal Stalkers have Those javelins that they throw to attack... (Definition of -javelin-: a lance for throwing) and Colossus doesn't need Blink because They can climb.....

  • @ultramander It's be funny if you could micro blink back your Colossi though.

  • What is the protoss unit that counters hydras?

  • @CleanSweaper Collosus:D

  • this is easier to pull of against a unit like roaches

  • I have a question :

Why gt +1 because stalkers will still kill lings in 4 hits. U need +2 so that stalkers kill in 3 hits. Wouldnt it be better against lings to go +1 armour?

  • 2:50 Im sorry, but what you said is Untrue. He also saw your Cybernetics Core being built - he runs right by it before he gets out. He could have anticipated Stalkers just as much as he would Zealots.

  • @thatswhatshesaiddude You normally don't have two gateways up before your cybernetics unless you are doing zealot pressure.

  • damn nice micro...

  • what was the hotkey or whatever for like.. selecting the units like that, like he had groups selected sorta, when he was usin blink, but he didnt drag over or anything. did he have 1 and 2 hotkey'd for like group of stalkers or what?

  • 8:30 the stalkers blinked away and the lonly zealot was left behind...

  • the problem i have with this game is if the zerg transitioned into a different build the protoss would have been unable to identify it with the lack of scouting.

  • what if he had roaches? would be good? Because i always get pwned by roaches....

  • @jjysoserious

stalkers win from roaches, honestly, the only thing that really kills those stalkers is massing lings and going for a surround, however, with blink thats kinda hard..

  • As a zerg player I would go for about 4-5 infestors and I would get a fungel growth off and the stalkers would all die. Then I would borrow them and use them to spawn some infested terran in your mineral line. I would also use any remaining zerglings I had to take out more probes/spawning stalkers. Depending on how that went I'd tech to Ultras/Broodlords or just spam more highly upgraded zerglings. The slipping macro would have been this protoss player's downfall.

  • @Fathead2098 dude the time u got out an infestor ur dead.

  • @12345DJay Not really I can have an infestor out in 7 minutes. The attack he made was at about 10 minutes which means I could get out multiple and they would have time to get close to if not full energy.

  • @Fathead2098

yes, but the chance your opponent goes blink stalkers is kinda low, so going for fast ifestor every game is kinda risky....

  • @mimpone I would not be going fast infestors I would probably be going for hydras or mutas and would just switch off to infestors as a counter. After all I need and infestation pit to tech to hive which may or may not be helpful depending on how the game goes from there.

  • i'm assuming this isn't diamond or anything close based off of the miss microing?

  • whats a counter for mass hydras lings?

  • @silentkilla238 you would want to transition into colosi. both those units roast away to colosi fire. back them up with gate way units and you should be just fine

  • @silentkilla238 colo, lots of them

  • Around 10:50

Macro slips hardcore because of so much micro lol

  • all wronggg , its so he can get back to base if it compromised, you dont want to have to waste time having to blink back up a cliff while mutas eat your base for example.. imo

  • Really good strategy. You as a commentator is really good to listen to .

  • 1 zerg player died from early stalkers

  • I am here in the shadows-Stalker

  • @FreeeeS yay for trying to get thumbs up and failing :)

  • GG

  • 0 dislikes wow lol

  • that was great. definetaly going to try that

  • I like it! blink stalkers with extreme macro niceee :)

  • I like it!!! :)

  • what is ur best race?

  • Remember when Roaches had smaller range and weren't so goddamn OP in PvZ? -_-

  • Can you upload the full version of the intro song?

  • Has anyone ever tried blink stalkers and colossus?

  • @UntouchableGlory i dont think that'll work because if you blink back then your collosus will be left in the front, but it might if your apm is insane

  • @altf4nubs Couldn't you use the colossi to get vision of the high ground then blink up into the opponents base? Or could you also place the colossi on high then blink micro with the stalkers?

  • i don't agree with you guys. Mystic still tried to push with zerglings against stalkers although he should ve realized from the first time it is not working. I usally go roach hydra, in this case hydra-or roach and zerglings would be enuff imo.And i also use benelings as burrowed, and pop them up wen stalkers are walking on top of them.No more stalkers.Ofc it was not possible in the first push because it was very early but until minute 14? it would've worked (and toss didn't have an observer).

  • What map is this

  • @ChipmuckNations blistering sands

  • wouldn't it be better if the zerg would go for benelings after he sees so many stalkers? because he probably needed 100 zerglings for that many stalkers.

  • @mcconalds benelings benelings benelings ohhhh

  • @mcconalds banelings would probably do even worse. Zergling is your counter to this, hydralisk or hydra roach would be better.

  • @mcconalds banelings wouldnt be good against blink stalkers

  • Another good thing about toss is the storm =) temp's use..

  • I clicked on the mini-map and all it did was pause... :(

  • I clicked the mini-map when the warning sign appeared. Darn reflexes.

  • who else tried to go on the edge of the screen to move around the map? haha :P

  • good advice

  • how do we get that production window to pop up? and how does it work?

  • starcraft 2, working 100% check out lnkgt. com/4Ep

  • what would you do if they mass roaches?

  • @begrade72 stalkers have more range than roaches. stalkers>roaches

  • @HuGGyBuNNy2 uhh nope, they are now even since the patch

  • Comment removed

  • @Kdaljeet yea i no i posted that prior to the patch

  • i would just like to thank you for all the great tips you do. it has taught me how to play protoss so much better(not just this video)

  • that's incredible!

  • Damn that intro is freakin EPIC.

  • could someone tell me the best technique to just simply "attack move" (before he got Blink)?

    thanks!

  • What's the zerg build order? Did he go 10/10 hatch pool then overlord?

  • blink stalker strategy is fine, but why destroy the rocks when you're moving out lol?

YOU HAVE BLINK, don't open your base for him to counter while you're out.

  • how come he din't just blink out the stalkers past the 2 gateways in the front? its not like he took a probe or a ton of zealots? or did the blink not reach?

  • how do you micro that so well?

  • He had 2 Nydus Networks built up, and a seemingly large army of Zerglings, it would be safe to assume he was coming for an attack from behind, but with all the minerals invested into Stalkers, would the Protoss player been able to fend off the attack had he waited longer?

  • @ModernMegalomania Those were Evo chambers not Nydus Networks

  • honestly, thanks to your videos i'm becoming better and better ^^

  • hmm. i go for corrupters and try to snipe the collossi with them but the opponent focus fires my corrupters, meanwhile collossi are owning whatever unit i have.

  • i dont know this zerg player just threw his lings at this protoss player he should have ran back when they blink so they waste the blink and im not sure who just goes lings I mean yes they did lose some economy in the begining but that was so long ago he should have built up something lol although as protoss i love me some blink stalkers but would have liked to see some sentrys but this guy didnt need them for this zerg player :D

  • The click to view next video never works on either of my computers...

  • At 24 supplies, he locked himself. Was that a mistake?

  • @effet Uh meant 34

  • My question is when you do expand, I see players send some existing probes and i am wondering whether its better to send existing workers from the original base to the expand or just build more. Which is more efficient?

  • Comment removed

  • @Fr3ddz0r5 That makes sense. Thank you
