do some research before you post a comment... there is no WRONG or RIGHT way to play instrument. there is only MORE COMMON way to play. is Carter Beauford wrong to play open-handed? is Rick Allen wrong being one-handed drummer? is Jeff Haley playing wrong on his guitar? He's unique.

so please, next time you are going to write a comment, or as in this case, try to insult, please have a subject to pick on, and not just write random thing, that you can't understand.. i feel deeply sorry for you....

Yeah hes playing open handed (how i play) i think if your a beggining drum you should deffenitly play open handed then when you feel confident play right handed (your arm crossed over the other, to hit the hight hat)its not really hard at all.

DUDE! are you left handed? then flip the drum set around, and put your right hand over your left for the snare and hi-hat! or if your right handed, put your right on the hi-hat and your left under it for the snare drum! god....

its actually easier to play open handed, you dont need to cross your arms around and that makes it free to hit more drums and cymbals while keeping a groove. just watch Carter Beauford of Dave Matthews band, he playes openhanded. god...
