@perkulatur he doesn't . He uses a rom and a emulator. You can google pokemon gold emulator and find a rom ( like a console so you can play it.) and thats it :) Hope it helps :D

haydunn the number for the number show isn't different for every pokemon it is different for every trainer. (each pokemon is set with their original trainers number, so to have more of a chance you need to trade pokemon)

Might as well say it's a "blind" playthrough, but oh well, it will be interesting to see you struggle against everything that is frustrating on a first playthrough. Pokemon Silver is the game that hooked to the franchise, I know it rather well and I will have a really hard time to not pointlessly try to help you via comments.

@GuireGod I know that, I've seen many of his online battles. But he barely knows the storyline (or he is pretending not to) and he skipped/forgot many useful things. And about Pokes, maybe he knows how to fight with lvls 100 competitively, but he doesn't seem to know about their uses in-game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining at all. This is what will make this LP interesting in its own way. I wish him good luck, even if it's pointless because he won't pay any attention to my comments.

Hayden, you could have all the pokemon in the game, and your chances of winning that contest stay the same. They check the trainer's ID number on the pokemon, which for you, is always the same. The only way to increase your chances of winning is to have a lot of different pokes that were traded to you.

Sorry to burst your bubble Haydunn, but in Gold, no they aren't. Wild Ekans are exclusive to Silver and can only be acquired in Gold through the Game Corner. In contrast, wild Sandshrews are exclusive to Gold and have to be bought in the Game corner at Silver.
