the level design is shit in this game u can barley see were u have to go an also running at 300 hundred miles and hour makes it much worse and the jumping is off a bit i played it. and some level u have to slow to do some slow platforming which is dumb i don't think its a good idea to make sonic slow down.

Well, just to clarify, this is treated like a real racing game, and has a fast style that would go good with a modern Sonic R. Well.... That is, if they make the gameplay more fair and make Sonic slightly faster than everyone else instead of being THE best.

I just think that with how fun Sonic Unleashed was, that they should make a racing game based off of its engine.

It's not.

The game loads portions of the levels as you go along, not all at once. For this reason, multiplayer would not be practical at all, unless you're okay with falling into oblivion as the stage disappears beneath your feet.

On the other hand, if there was just a two player online split-screen, then couldn't it work, since it would be the same as the ordinary level, and only the checkpoints you activated yourself work (like in sonic 2!). This way, the areas would load just like in the normal levels. Also, the level only disappears if you miss a trigger area which loads the next area, and if it DOES disappear you don't fall through, it's just invisible... so it would be possible if they did it like that!

Umm yes I do, don't get me wrong, you're AWESOME at unleashed (I've seen your Eggmanland videos, they're amazing) What I'm saying is that if multiplayer worked the same way levels do, just competing for a better time, the stage wouldn't disappear underneath your feat unless you skipped one of the trigger points that loads the next section. So it is possible to have multiplayer as an add on for unleashed.

You don't.

The game wouldn't be able to dynamically process levels being loaded for multiple people. Enviroments are loaded in sections based on a player's position due to it being impossible to fully load them instantly in such a capacity thanks to how resource-consuming they are. Accomodating multiple people racing on the same stage would therefore be impossible- the game's engines, as they are, would be unable to keep stages stable due to conflicting character positions.

So you go online, find an opponent, you both start at the same time but only the other persons TIME is recorded, and you see who gets the better time, almost like a real-time leaderboard. So you're playing the same stage at the same time, but the stage loads alone on your own console, and then you see who wins, it's the same as normal multiplayer but you don't interact with eachother.

Don't you know how easy it is for people to hack their times and high scores nowadays on games, ESPECIALLY online games!? There are millions of hackers that play even games like WoW, and there are even hackers on a family-racing game such as Mario Kart Wii too.

Making something that would only be in the form of leaderboards is not known as multiplayer, necessarily. It's just the simultaneous-single play experience that, really, isn't needed in Sonic.
