I came here because our last daschund was named Sadie... She passed on =( Our new one leaps into the water just like this W/O a life jacket and swims for a little but has to be helped out after a few seconds... She has no fear. Love that full body Geronimo leap. Daschunds have that wonderful tenacious I'll try anything let me at em outlook that helps make them so funny.

she's so cute, I watched your memorial video for her, its so sad that she died, but she is so cute and is probably happy where ever she is. I love dauchunds so much, they have so much energy and expression, I used to have one that loved salad, we would give him some carrots, lettuce, etc with his normal food.
Once I took a trip up to that Lake, quite recently, and my 2 daschunds that swim Sammy and Baggins dived in! I love how they pace around like "I wanna jump but I'm scared"

We call Frodo, Baggins a lot and Charlie is actully a girl her full name is Charlie Kitty she is a red dapple. We call Samantha Sam. or Sammy she is a silver dapple and black and tan Frodo is chocolate Pickle is Red.
I also have a house on lake martin and a dachshund puppy that will be mine in one month! I hope she enjoys lake martin as much as your dachshund does!

This is so coo!!! Sadie is decked out in her very own life jacket!!! I have never seen any dog wagging its tail while swimming!! Sadie is special!!
