  • haha he looks like john barnet

  • how do you kickflip it? i keep trying and my feet hit the ground before the board

  • @thisisbsify Jump higher. Push your foot up more on the kickflip.

  • 70mm are a little big in my opinion, I would try 65mm with 1/4" risers.

The large wheels will definitely make it harder to ollie as they weigh more and will have you higher off the ground (thus less tail contact...pop), wide trucks will also add weight. However that being said with some 65mm wheels and 1/4" risers, you will still be able to ollie it. The concave, nose and tail, and overall feel of the deck is great!

PM me with any further questions.

    Peace.

  • can i run 70mm wheels on it ?? or i will need a lot of risers ? is the concave good ?

you think that putting 70mm will make a lot harder to ollie it ??

thanks a lot your a beast ! my goal is to ollie any skate 1/2 like you ehehe

We had a blast shooting/skatin it.

    Peace.

  • Hello,

What setup were you running? I want this board but am unsure how to set it up.

  • @jmaggjr

I like to set my board up with 57mm wheels (ATF Ratbones), 1/8" risers and 9" Indies with extra hard bushings.

But I do a lot of street tricks on this board. PM me and we can talk pros and cons of different setups and combos.

    Peace.

  • Awesome vid man

Isnt that the school of Eric Dressen part in Speed Freaks Video from Santa Cruz?

    Keep it up!

  • props man

  • @spuddypablo Thaks!

    Peace.

  • is this a longboard or a skate board ? because i want to buy one of these boards please answer :P great video by the way your awesome :D

  • @rawkdude14 I guess it is a "Park Board" by definition, but it is 40" long. The board can carve and slide and even downhill, but it is stiff, concaved, with kick nose and tail so it rocks the tricks with ease. I don't know if I can really answer if it is a longboard or not, I consider myself a longboarder, so to me it is a longboard.

Peace. PS if you get one you will love it!

  • @kevseadog ok :D thanks a lot ! but ive decided not to buy this board, i found another that i like a lot more its the sector 9 greenroom :D

  • @rawkdude14

Well one board can't be the best for everyone, but the BE40 sure is the best for me! Have fun skating.

    Peace.

  • is that in malibu?

  • @tazer5 Funny,

No It is sebastopol, 1 hour north of San Francisco, but I live near Malibu now.

Hope to skate with you there soon.

    Peace.

  • Ha ha! You didn't need the ramp for the picnic table. You could have just ollied it. You've got world class spring. I think the record is 43 inches?

  • Fucking insane.

  • smooth slidey, contemplating on getting either the p35, jp3 or be40. i like the length of the p35 kuz i can still get tech but then again the smoothness and drawed out slides of the be40 are stylee

  • Warbid, I am not Brad, but I am sure he'll be stoked to hear that.

    Kuffdude,

The 40 is awesome! if you are looking for a bit shorter board with a similar shape and feel try the Gravity Jessie Parker 38. I am riding it right now for the next video, it is rad as well. Peace.

  • @kevseadog got that vid on the jp38?

  • was thinking about getting a 35 or 36" but im going for the 40 now after seeing this video and hearing other good things about the BE40. Congrats on the sponsor ship too, Gravity has always been putting out quality product, videos and riders.

  • Brad, I picked up Rebirth of Skateparks on ebay and discovered you. I used to skate the Whittier park back in the 80's but now I'm in my 40's and out of shape. Don't take this the wrong way but you're style is truly inspiring and has motivated me to pick up a few sticks and ride again. I skated around in front of my house with my 2 kids and had some kick-ass fun! Gonna head out to the local courthouse parks and probably get blasted for being a dinosour. LOL! Thanks and keep em' rollin!

  • I just got sponsored by Gravity! Hell yeah! They're all super chill awesome longboard folk, so i am stoked outa controll. BrnWitGrn you'll love the BE40, hands down best parkboard I ever had. Warbid..."Reggaemylitus" by Peter Tosh, my all time favorite musician. Peace.

  • song?

  • You just sold me this board! INSPIRING!

You gotta be riding for Gravity, yea?

  • I've seriously watched this video about 5 times or more. I love it so much...
