I spent 4 years away from the world and over two in that place in the 1990's. It was honestly so bad that I forgot it. And by it, I mean my entire childhood. Now,at 34, I am starting to get glimpses of that life. I thought it had to be only me though. Maybe I hoped it was. I am so thankful that you posted this. It's nice to know that I'm not alone.
I was put in SCU and held down and shot in the ass with Haldol, as a 14 year old. In 86 it was Dr. Patti that ran it, hell I think she designed the program, along with a lady named Anne Burnette. I built numerous cabins, worth God knows how much. Yea, I just needed someone to talk to me; not lock me up for 15 mths.
@jamieg1tube I am so sorry to hear what you went through at PV. I always heard the olden days were the gentler times. PM me if you would like to tell me more, and thanks for having the courage to come here and tell your story.
woopdie shit, it was a miracle placebo for you, the the rest of us wih a brain it was hell. Sorry kid I don't care how old you are. Unless you are a child molester or guilty of murdering people NOBODY should have to go through that.
I was at Peninsula Village(dec2005-may-2007), I never experienced abuse there. I was one of the patients who were affected with the norovirus. The nurses and all the staff were extremely helpful. For the 1 1/2 years at P.V., I recieved care from not only the staff but my fellow patients. I still keep in contact with the staff and former patients because after spending 18 months with the ame people you start to feel like family. P.V. didn't abuse me, they kept me from abusing myself.
Interesting. PV denied there was a Norovirus outbreak. They never even told the parents what the GI illness was afflicting their kids. Thanks for (unintentionally) exposing another of PV's endless lies. You claim PV didn't abuse you? The poor sanitation from PV's porta toilets sickened you, By the way, you're lucky you missed the E. Coli outbreak a few years earlier at PV. One girl was close to death. The state determined the source of the E. Coli was PV's cafeteria.

my cousin just got sent here, I would like to send her a letter - I am assuming excessive violence won't get her kicked out.
What will?
