This is very "Wow" I have not lost a child but I was in foster care for 3 yrs when I was born, then my grandmother mortaged her farm to come get me & raise me. She was my hero & still is. She lost a baby at 17 days old & a very "special" daughter with downs when I was 17 yrs. I love my "Mom" because through all the struggles of feeding us, working a farm, raising me & my nephew, she stood strong. NO ONE CAN COMPARE. I MISS HER.

I can't thank you enough for this contest. I haven't submitted my essay, yet, but it's helped me through a difficult time. I just lost a very close friend. Writing this essay has finally helped me see the light in all this tragedy.

"The Morning Song" is a such a deep song because the reason behind it, and makes us part of those families that had lost their love one...and we can see how really blessed we are by having people who care, how it has united people in solidarity with what has happended. Looking forward on the outcome of the contest, and the touching stories.
