Explain exactly why a corporation that would be taxed under any carbon tax laws would want to encourage it. If anything companies would be against the tax as it reduces profits, where is your logic. I don't use the TV for my sources when there is ther raw data available from monitoring stations. You have been reading too many comics and watching too many hollywood films.

Hmmm, try this one oh ye of little physics knowledge. Warm some water in a pan, mark the level before and after its been warmed. The warmed water has a higher volume than the water before its been warmed. Alternatively look up sea levels in the last ice age, mammoth bones are found deep under the sea in areas where the cold temps meant the oceans volume was lower. The volume gained by a 1 degree rise in ocean temps is much greater than any loss of volume by polar ice melting.

ho ho ho, Seeing as the majority of the water in the ocean is above 4 degrees your comment is irrelevant.try heating some liquid water in a pan, its volume increases when its heated. Any loss of volume from the polar ice caps is exceeded hundreds of times by increases in volume caused by warming of the oceans.
