I am building my 89 mustang into a twin turbo but can say that car showed nothing close to 1200 HP on that burnout. My car without twins can do that kind of burnout and is less than 400 HP. Not saying it is not capable but too many people buy a 67mm turbo off ebay that is rated to 600 and think they are just making 1200 immediately which is not true.

the reasons you need a 2-step on an auto are as follows; The backfire/mis fire it creates builds boost harder than just foot braking or trans braking on a turbo, and it allows you to set your desired RPMs for either where you make your boost you want, or just the rpms you want, or both, be it a forced induction car. Then, you just stomp on the fucking gas, no need to regulate the throttle yourself, just step on the fucker and look straight ahead. It allows for more consistant launching

@fourwheelerjock Two step is a computer controlled program that you can get on an aftermarket ecu that allows the engine to rev to a set point and cuts the ignition on and off to keep it at the set rpm. It is designed to spool the turbo up to make boost while sitting this way you are not leaving with no power. If you have a automatic some people use a trans brake that locks the tranny in reverse and drive to put a load and build boost. Hope this helps .

@fourwheelerjock I can explain in more detail, so lets say you own a single turbo camaro or mustang and your maximum boost doesn't come on till 4500rpm you can set it for that rpm and it will hold it even with your foot fully depressed on the throttle. This allows you to leave the line at maximum or in a two step's case half the boost and then reach full boost when the car has taken off. This allows you to leave the line with full or half the cars maximum horsepower.
