  • nice exit :L

  • Your hair is gorgeous will this work with normal hair grips ?

  • Nice ,this is the best hair tutoriel .

  • This is a pleasure to watch!

  • Haha you almost nocked over the lamp(:

  • nice..will go great with coffee! lol just kidding beautiful hair.

  • Are u amish? Here in italy i never see this type of hairstyle o-0

  • Beautiful hair!

  • Thank you for this. I have struggled with my long hair to make a tidy bun, and now I see that it can be done, and by myself as well. Your hair is beautiful!

  • everything abt u its wierd :|

  • Omg!!! Were u Amish??? Lol

  • very pretty hair & bun .

  • your really pretty!

  • How are Amish hairpins diff from bobby pins? Where can I buy them? My hair isn't as long but very thick so I need a strong pin.

  • @flowerlove79 mostly in Lancaster county or any "Amish" country in like Ohio or other states they have settled on (for more details on that message me i know most of the states they are in) they are like the hair pins you can find at mostly any drug store or beauty supply

  • lol i like your little escape at the end XD but nice hair too i've been tryign to do this with my hair b.c it's pretty long but no luck so far =p

  • Wow, that looks beautiful :) And your hair is gorgeous!

  • beautiful hair and beautiful bun! :]

  • wow you almost droped the lamp... any ways how did you get your hair that long?

  • do cinnamon buns only work on long hair and unlayered hair?

a lot of the girls at my dance studio have GORGEOUS cinnamon bun style hair and i can't never do one right and flat!

my hair is a little layered and reaches aprox 1 inch below my shoulders

  • Hum, I've never tried to bun hair that short. I imagine you would have to use some sort of hair jell to keep the layers in. Try searching for *sock bun* as you might be able to do that which your length. It comes out looking almost exactly like a cinna bun.

  • @ix3cheeseheads You can but it's nit as nice looking and you get hair coming out the sides....I used to do them when my hair was that short for my job but they kept falling out

  • Do you know how to put your hair into a bun with those chop stick anoying things that never hold for me? I have also seen people with a bun secured by two pencils, it looks really cool, maybe an idea for your next video. Don't worry about hitting the lamp in your video, it could have been worse if you put your head through it :)

  • It is pretty easy and they hold very well if you use them in the right way. First, stick the chopstick thingy into your bun (the outer layer) then wind it to the hair close to your scalp and then through the bun. Like "in - out (of the bun) - in and through" if you can understand what I mean ^^

  • I confess I have never mastered how to do a bun with hair sticks alone. My problem is the inner coils falling out.

  • Oh, you have to wind it up and down while putting it through your bun, make sure that you get through all (or most of the) coils. It works better with a flat one, that with one that sticks out (if you know what I mean). If you do one that is sticking out, you have to make it really tight, then it holds.

  • Humm, I'll have to try that.

  • I have been trying put my long hair in a bun for ages, this video was very helpful

  • Wonderful!

  • haha she hit the lamp

  • ur hair is long just as mine i cut it 1 time and i cried and everytime i went to sleep i was crying lol now its long and i will neveer eveerr think to cut it!

  • Wow! You have beautiful hair! Thank you for the video. All the steps were clear to understand.

(My own hair is only just past shoulder length atm, but I hope to have mine as long as yours someday :)

  • just wanted to let you know that if you don't want your face to be seen on video you can edit with windows movie maker or your computer should come with a program. It is pretty easy if i can do it. =)

  • wel the hair style is in the back of her head so it wouldnt work if she turned around =)

  • Thank you! I've been growing my hair for 7 years with regular trims.

  • wow that was quick haha :D

thats awesome, i've been growing my hair for 4 years now and i trim my hair myself as i dont trust anyone else, i also have weekly oil treatments..my mum has long hair too but not as long as mine..keep your hair growing its amazing :D

  • You have such beautiful hair. thanks for this tutorial! :)

  • Thank you, and your welcome!

  • Great Bun! I use small jaw clips instead but after seeing your demo really want to try bobby pins soon. Thanks for the great bun demo :o)

  • Your welcome, and I hope the bobby pins work for you. I out grew jaw clips long ago!

  • I ordered some Amish pins about 6 weeks ago and am still waiting for them. Seems like I only have luck with the jaw clips holding my hair so far and would love to use something invisible. The clips hold well but are ugly! I have trouble with hair sticks holding my hair too.

This braided bun is beautiful :)

  • Thank you. I've never figured out how to use jaw clips to secure my hair styles... I've often watched your bun videos in envy of how nicely you can use them!

  • he he

  • your hair is so beautiful! a friend of mine in highschool had hair about that long, our of boredom one day after finals i just started braiding her hair in vocal.. it wound up in a massive bun comprised of 48 braids

  • I imagine it was lovely!

  • What is different about Amish hairpins? My hair is almost as long as yours now, and it seems like it never wants to stay up in a bun. Is there something unique in the shape of the Amish pins?

  • Several things are different about Amish pins v. regular pins. Amish pins are far more gentle on the hair because they do not squeeze it, therefore they cause less breakage. They are tough and wont bend easily. But most importantly, they come in a variety of lengths so you can get longer ones if your hair is longer. I currently use 3" ones.

  • Thanks! Those sound lovely. Do you have any ideas where I might purchase some?

  • Do a google search for "Amish Hair Pins" and you'll come up with lots of options!

  • beautiful hair. hope you're not going to cut it any shorter. i've put this video on my favourite.

  • Thank you!

  • why do people care so much about YOUR hair. If they want to post nasty comments they should go somewhere else! And there is audio

  • Great job...i was waiting for you to fall backward when you finished your hair....that sure is one BIG bun

  • hehehe! It used to bother me, but I started bunning my hair wet most of the time, and while it is heavier that way... it seems I get better weight distribution so it really doesn't bother me.

  • I showed your vid to my 7 yr old....guess what?...she wants her hair as long as yours!!!

  • Wonderful!! They say imitation is the best form of flattery, so I'm very flattered and delighted to know my hair has inspired her to grow hers!

  • Ahhh....gorgeous :D I noticed you twist your bun the oher way. Maybe if I twist it that way my hair will grow like yours! Lol. Your hair is so beautiful. I just cut off 4 inches while on the road, btw :| But it's not much thicker, so I guess I'll let it grow again over the summer.

  • Hey Bonnie! haha, I doubt twisting has anything to do with how my hair grows! And thank you. :) Well, whatever your ultimately decided to do with your hair, I think it's totaly beautiful inspite of being less than average in thickness.

  • Absolutely gorgeous! Bunning is an art with profound spiritual meaning. A bun says "a culmination of concentrated effort to reach a perfect result." Your bun makes a positive statement about your character! Your bun is a true achievement of which you are proud. Thank you for sharing it with us!

  • Pne last hair question.. How long do you want to let it grow??

  • I honestly don't know! Right now I'm about 6 inches from knee length, and that's the goal I've set for the time being.

  • You should do a video showing off how long your hair actually is.. Its tough to actually see the full length! Just an idea...

  • I don't think I'm comfortable doing that on YouTube... just these videos have gotten me so nasty comments. But thanks for the suggestion

  • Nice demo! I also secure the bun as I twist it, it distributes the weight and makes the bun so secure. Beautiful bun!

  • Yes, without pinning as I go it will just fall out within a few minutes.

  • Hey.. Are you Pentecostal? Do you enjoy your hair being very long? It looks great!

  • Nope, I'm simply a New Testament Christian. I dont' really 'fit' any one denomination.

Yes, I like hair long! If I didn't, it wouldn't be long.

    And thank you. :)

  • Along with your styles, you'd probably be a good authority on how to maintain hair and keep it in good condition. Unless it runs in the family, of course :)

  • lol, Well I wouldn't say I'm a good authority... I know I still have lots to learn! But I would never had made it without the help, support and advice of The Long Hair Community. Google it if you'd like more info.

  • You have lovely hair,

For how long du you growit?

    Take care,

    D

  • Thank you! I've been growing from upper back length for 7 years.

  • What are you using to pin down the coils?

  • I'm using 3 inch long Amish hairpins. Do a google search for 'Amish Hairpins' and you'll get tons of info.
