My friend's older brother introduced us to No Knife back in 01, such a great band, great to listen in the car or put it on at a party. I couldn't find "The Spy" on youtube, their CDs are so hard to find. Forget going through HMV...

not seeing what special here, there no personality in the intrumentality of this music, its all reliant on the melodiy of the lyrics, which is important (im not a mainstream crusader, i understaand the nessesities of melody) but mainstream is all melody, devoid of substance. now im not goin as far as to call this absent of substance, but ostensibly, its sounds like mainstream radio bs. nothin too outside trite formulas of 10th grader music

it's just your opinion... i think that the rhytm and the guitar playing is really innovative, the atmosphere is special. As Cranberries sad ( :) ) "no need to argue" ... opinions are like assholes: everyone has one;) I understand your point but i think that simply you missed the main message of this band which is not a problem, what U said is interesting but I think not right about all aspects of this band. for me, they'r great. :)

the difference between them and "any other alternative rock band" is that no one else has this sound, period. true pioneers. i love these guys. i think i spent at least a couple of months back in 2000 listening to nothing but No Knike! There is a mood in there music that spans every album that you just can't get anywhere else! love it!

Youtube is all about personal comments and opinions. Therefore, I personally didn't like them. I saw them in Tempe too. I don't see anything special about them that makes them stand out. They sound like any other alternative rock garage band

I saw them open for the Get Up Kids in Denton, Texas back in the fall of 1997. Couldn't believe my eyes/ears...the fact that a three piece could makes these sounds was incredible!
