So you actually believe that god will answer your prayers regarding social and financial engagements, but what of the prayers of the millions of children who starve to death and die of curable diseases? I find such faith to be utterly obnoxious and obscene, and I would rather that the faithful stop masquerading such narcissism as "humility," as it does the entire human race a disservice. Get past yourself and realize that the world is larger than yourself.

@Matakaoa They like very much to flaunt numbers (every general conference if I'm not mistaken). The LDS's main objective appears to be the conversion of the entire human population (DOA;), and they are very diligent with PR, so it's likely that proselytizing and humanitarian aid are intimately linked. No organization serves two masters, so which does the LDS serve: does the church teach four year old boys to perform humanitarian service, or to serve an honorable full-time mission?
