  • @KopMATT96 If it says '0' left it means your phone is in hard locked mode.

    You need to reset it with a special software called Blackberry MFI_Multiloader.

    If you still have a warranty then replace it , if not then you have to find a place like 'cell repair store', they should be able to help you to reset the phone back to 10 attempts

    Once your phone is unlocked, it stays unlocked for ever even after hard reset or OS update.

    Then you will need a service provider unlock code - MEP4.

    For Telus - mep4 is sent automatically.

    I figured out awhile ago why my blackberry bold was in "SOS" mode. AT&T will lock your sim card to the phone you activated it on for about 6 months. The only way to remedy this is to go to a local AT&T store and pick up a new sim card. Did that and everything works flawlessly.

    You can unlock the 9700 even if it is not active.

    You can use the unlocked phone with any GSM provider worldwide.

    As far as Virgin, please check if the network is a GSM network.
