mine love the hot tub! I keep mine at 97 degrees! My little girl loves it! She also has her own shower head specially built for her in my shower so she can come in anytime and enjoy water. I always make sure mine are in my hands or wearing a life jacket though. Mine love the water but are not great swimmers. :) I have 4 weenie dogs from short hair- to the in between to long hair. I love to see a human that enjoys his/her babies like I do.

It's not the temp. Of the water that's concerning, its the chemicals you use in hot tubs. Dogs skin, ears, and eyes are to sensitive for that.

@anonymice11 its really not that bad for them, ive worked with dogs in hydrotherapy pools and the same chemicals are used in the water to stop the build of bacteria. Its much the same as humans some dogs are fine with it others have reactions but its usually uncommon :)

@spictria ask your vet first. I saw a rather heated discussion here on youtube with one guy thinking it's okay to let a doxie swim and another saying it was bad for their long backs, the person arguing against the swimming was supposedly a vet specializing in nuerosurgery. I don't know for sure and I have a doxie, I'm going to have a chat with the vet before giving him swimming privileges.

Belive it or not they actualy can. I didnt think it was true but they do. I took my dog in the pool and she is 7 and has never swam before and she did but she was scared so i took her out and she can swim but not very well. like she can stay above water but it takes her forever to get to the other side
