  • @a0kca1p How is shooting 14-20 equal 47%?

  • y da fuck is kg guarding jordan? haha

  • Hmm, was it having Wally guard MJ in the second half that made him go 4-13 (31%), or could it be he ran out of gas? Yes, MJ's performance was impressive at his age, but I'd still take KG's stat line that night of 31pts on 12-21 shooting (57%), 6Reb, 7ast over Jordan's 35pts on 14-20 shooting (47%), 6reb, 4ast.

  • Kevin Harlan screams at everything lol

  • 2:03 #21,22,23 on the floor..lol

  • lol nobody can gaurd Jordan

  • I was born in Minnesota and was a die hard t-wolves and kg fan but..................kg was dumb as hell thinking he could guard mj.

  • KG thinking he can guard jordan...hahah..funny

  • that shot at 5:29 was a pass he meant to miss it

  • On one hand, I feel like he should've stayed retired simply because his last shot was so perfect I wouldn't believe it possible if it weren't MJ doing it.

On the other hand, his level of play at 38+ was mind boggling and is something else I wouldn't believe possible if it weren't MJ doing it.

So, I'm kind of torn. :b

  • 4:10 OH MY GOODNESS!!!....MJ AT AGE 40 DID THAT OVER A PRIME KEVIN GARNETT!! (ONE OF THE TOP 10 GREATEST POWER FOWARDS TO EVER PLAY THE GAME)....UNBELIEVABLE!

  • audio?

  • I think that if you took MJ from this period and put him onto the current Lakers team, the Lakers could still compete for a championship.

  • i didnt realize billups and kg played together how did they win a championship was this the shaq and kobe era?

  • i dont think the wizard even goes to the game to see thier team win cause they know wizard sucks..its mj that sells those tickets lol

  • What does his age matter? He's Michael Jordan. this late into his career are any of you truly surprised or shocked at anything he did at that point. I don't know why everyone's so amazed about the age, athletes like Jordan and Favre who have true heart aren't affected by age. It catches up with them sometime and they eventually retire, but as long as they're playing, 38 is no different than 28. Show Jordan a little more deserved respect and viewing him as a "has been" at the end of his career

  • THAT'S MJ AT 38!...ALL DAY......

  • Was that Marv Albert calling the game or Kevin Harlan because by the end of the game MJ dick was soaking wet from being sucked all night long on how good his play was by the announcer... LMAO we get it he the greatest (Michael lays in the shot) (announcer) "WHAT AN AMAZING LAYUP I HAVE NEVER SEEN A LAYUP SO BEAUTIFUL BEFORE IN MY LIFE!! VINTAGE!!" lmao CALM DOWN!! your microphone might get a short..

  • other than a couple of nice drives by MJ, KG actually made him work for those shots. those jumpers and double pump layups are not easy. but then again, MJ is the GOAT.

  • This video is more like MJ at age 39!

  • man fuck billups he doesnt do jack shit with us then he goes to the pistons and becomes an all-star imagine KG and Billups when he was at his best. Few titles right there

  • MJ made KG look like a clown

  • @uberathlete surprise kg didnt elbow jordan since jordan kick his ass by playing great b ball...kg like to swing his elbow when he gets own

  • 3:51 is all I could say...

    Epic

  • That dunk at any age is amazing let alone at 39. MJ-simply the best.

  • took KG to school at the age of 38...WOW

  • GOAT....!!!

  • Basketball IQ > skill

who said u needed speed n power to win basketball games?

  • without skill like MJ how can he win the games???

  • MJ is just one of those players that only come once in a lifetime he defines the word Greatest

  • I agree. Then I sorta disagree because even though he didn't have all of the speed and power he used to...he still was a few steps beyond a normal human.

  • It's fun watching Jordan play at such an old age because he no longer has to use speed and power but relies just on fundamental skills and technique to still beat everyone in the league at thatt time haha

  • M.J makes me wanna go outside and play some basketball. so amazing that man is.

  • Oh wow, Chauncey.

  • He can't be human. Just unbelievable really.

  • I can't believe how bad MJ at 38 clowned my man KG. Just shows how incredible MJ was that at 38 he could clown one of the elite defenders in NBA history. They should have been playing KG at the 4 in this game not the 3 so he didn't have to defend MJ, because MJ is too quick for someone with KG's frame.

  • You are rite but remember you are talking about a 39 yr old man with BAD knees lol!!!! I agree with you but what MJ did was just so impressive.

  • Owned KG's ass.

  • That dunk by a 39 year old is simply amazing.

  • this game's commentator is really annoying

  • People don't realize just how varied MJ's game was which made him almost impossible to stop. He was great at posting up, driving and finishing with either hand, shooting midrange jumpers, using pump fakes, using screens without running around like a mad man a la Rip Hamilton, moving without the ball to lose his man, stop and pop, fadeaway, up and unders, hanging re-load shots, etc. So much variety which was already there even early in his career. And we haven't even talked about his defense.

  • MJ at 40 was better then 90% of the league. He was that damn good!

  • 5:35 was a thing of beauty. Footwork like that at age 39 is un-heard of. DAMN

  • i have never seen 39 yrs old player dunking like he

  • MJ The greatest!

  • I love KG, but damn he got crossed up by MJ at the top of the key and then he jammed it with his 38 yr old hops, lol. KG I know he's 38 but come on don't try to stop MJ at the top of the key ur going 2 get used. MJ at any age is way to good especially on a isolation play at the top of the key and ur a big man, that's a no no.

  • remember the last year he played, at the all star game? fade-away in shawn marions face for what seemed like the game winner, but it ended up not being the winner. But still, MJ is unbelievable.

  • MJ a BEAST!

  • 3.50 wow and then garnett a three?

  • 4:15!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!

  • I loved to watch Jordan play as a wizard because he would get his points by his fadeaway but then out of nowhere he makes a play that is beyond what most 20 year olds are capable of. His 51 points, the block on ron mercer, his game winners, is why I think he could play to this day.

  • michael jordan is michael jordan..

  • Michael Jordan...Fucking Michael Jordan

  • BLOWS by Garnett...BLOWS...AND bams it...young Jordan would DESTROY this league

  • KG is one of the few guys nowadays who earns what he gets,he loves the game as much as MJ did and although not nearly as great,he deserves all the respect an love bc he gives it his all.you cannot say that about 95% of the players nowadays

  • wow!! jordan still got the power to put pumps on his shot look at 2:55!!hehe.. Jordan is the best..!!

  • i never thought his still got it.... i really love this match and his moves.. hehehhe

  • Holy Shit KG scoring a three-pointer???!!!???

  • KG has always been able to hit 3s, especially in the past. He's just not doing it as often today.

  • 1:58 still has the speed!

  • damn i love him so much!!!!!! why did he stop :( he is way better then ever1 this time!!!!

  • Is He human?? like him at 25 in any team in the league they would win it! rrtale you cudnt have said a truer word, i flew from ireland to watch him play during this time! hes the greatest sports person ever!!! keep posting!!

  • what the fuck jordan dunks as a wizards!!!

    the great mj

    nice vid

  • those Jordan to White plays remind me of Kobe and Gasol or Kobe and Odom

  • Greatest of all time..just like my videos..jk. But really MJ is.

  • Can Everyone please go to my new youtube video?its "Old Lady Gets Hit By Car"please check it out!!!thanks!!!=]

  • rrtale said everything needed to be said.

  • Unreal. Many people bash MJ for this comeback, i dont get it. Just appreciate the oportunity he gave us to watch him do magical things at that age.

  • @rrTale they bash him because they think he wanted the spot light and most kobe fan didnt like his return.

  • wow i cant believe thats the same commentars on comcast sports net

  • I can't even begin to imagine a prime Jordan (from around 1992) in this league now with the rule changes. He could average 40 per game with the way they call fouls these days. Also watching these MJ vids never gets old. The best to ever do it #23!

  • jordan from 92 will not average 40 in todays rules NEVER. ask me why?

because he would not even play. im sure he'll get bored of scoring 40 points every night in his relax mode in his prime.

  • i have to disagree with on that

A younger jordan( 1991-92 era) , age wise would eat todays league up. he'll love beating other guy/teams to bloody pulp. he kinda sick in head in that regards

Now what you are saying is jordan at 40, which I would agree, he has nothing to prove

  • MJ is a beast. The Best ever. If u guys love basketball videos, come check out my channel. Its for the serious Basketball fans. HOpe to hear from u soon. Go stuff hoops. Love ur MJ videos bro. The best MJ vids ever.

  • MJ is amazing but I hate the wizards why would you cut him from the team when he made the team a name. That is just stupid.

  • damn almost 25000 views in less than a week

  • omg i know!!! =0

  • MJ is a Legend of Legends!!

  • He's the legend.

  • "Don't ever question the greatest player in the game!"

  • MJ: Greatest ever of al time. Simply the best.

  • he is sick! MAN FUCK ME!!! MJ IS CRAZY>>>> THE BEST BASKETBALL PLAYER... DOMINATING a 26 year old prime KG.. that's crazy!!!! NO ONE CAN DOMINATING KG NOW.. EVEN NOW!!

  • I'm getting ready to upload my exclusive list of the top 50 defenders who faced MJ! KG will be on my top 50 bigs list to face MJ! Man I can't wait til you guys see this one!

  • Wicked. Looking forward to it.

  • 4:13 - 4:16 WOW!

  • garnett looks so young!

  • he just looks hairless than now

  • Michel Jordan: Simply THE GREATEST EVER OF ALL TIME (G.O.A.T.)By acclamation The Greatest Of All Time. The Greatest there ever was, the greatest there ever will be.

  • can any one else do this at age 38?

  • wow don't even try to criticize MJ

  • Damn, I wish Jordan had never played for the Wizards.

  • i believe that's kevin harlan, he always sounds like that. love that guy.

  • is the commentator(Marv Albert?) on crack on something? seems like he has never seen a basket made in his whole life..

  • Man Hoops you should make an Artistry of Michael Jordan Wizards edition. Cause on some games when he was feeling good it was as if he never left.

  • MJ IS G.O.A.T

  • i`m miss MJ >>> the great player ever

all basketball fans miss MJ (i know)

  • jordan torched a garnett who was in his prime at the age of 38

  • it's simply bcoz he's the best.

  • Do you have this game?

    youtube(dot)com/watch?v=nnWWYNBcrpc

  • look at 3:50 just amazing move and dunk to the hole mj is my fav. player in all time

  • Damn MJ got moves...he made KG look like a old vetran..those little stutter steps and shimmies only MJ does best.

  • r u kidin me lolz...stil d michael jordan we knw ^^

  • lmao. Air made KG look stupid quite a few times. Don't Kobe fans say Jordan wouldn't dominate today's athletes? lol. What a joke.

  • Incredible movement in traffic at 5:38. And the man was only 38!

  • how weird is it to see chauncy in a wolves uniform?

  • I know you've been thanked Hoops, but one more time doesn't hurt. As a 33 year old I was one of the lucky Chicago kids to grow up and watch MJ. I check YT everyday for another of your vid's that take me back to being a kid again. Waiting every night to watch him on SportsVision then Sportschannel then Fox Sports and finally WGN and Comcast. Nobody touched him when he was 23 and he taught the kids all lessons when he was 40. Thanks again for your hard work and posts. GOAT

  • it was cool video

  • Dang, they lost that game because Billups was hot and Garnett was not scared at all he just played ball.

  • welcome to aris thessaloniki michael

  • UNSTOPABLE NO MATTER HOW OLD

  • GREATEST EVER OF ALL TIME. "By acclamation the Greatest of all time" GOAT Out of this world.

  • Look how quickly he explodes into the lane from a standstill at 2:15. Amazing. No one has ever been able to go from 0 to 60 as fast as MJ. And he's basically 39 years old here.

  • I agree 100%.

  • He also pulled KG's arm once he reached. ;)

  • MJ is MJ

  • Out of this world

  • BUCKLE UP FOR KG!#$!@# and it's a simple lay up...why the hell is he overselling it

  • cause he likes the sound of his own voice

  • because that's his job man..

  • I GOT WIDE-EYED AT 3:52!

  • Better yet compare LeBron James's career numbers with Magic Johnson, dare I say that LeBron is by far a better outside shooter and 3 point shooter than Magic Johnson was. Everything is still Kobe Kobe Kobe, to me the "real" hoops fans are all over LeBron James now as far as personal scouting. You have fans who skim, fans who watch the ESPN shows, fans who watch games, and you have fans who scout. I guess the fans who scout are the only ones I can find making the proper case for LeBron?

  • LeBron is a great player, but he hasn't made the most out of his potential. He may well be the most physically-gifted player ever but his skills fall short of Kobe's, much less Jordan. With Kobe and Jordan, you can make a serious case that both had fully realized their potential.

  • hes got time to develop

  • come on! lebron is better tha kobe! look at him now at his age! lebron is better than kobe! kobe is just very over rated! jordan is the greatest of all time! kobe is not even close to jordan! see the stats and accomplishments! dont ever compare jordan to lebron and kobe because its not fair!

  • To the Jordan fans who think that LeBron James and Jordan don't have any career paralells, better check the career assist and rebounding averages per game, LeBron has MJ already, will LeBron ever match MJ? I doubt it, but there should be some form of familiarity with the way the beginning of LeBron's career has gone so far. Jordan was in a similar situation. I just don't get how LeBron sits there, virtually in the dark... He has his following, it sure isn't like Kobe's though, I don't get it...

  • KG who deserved the defensive player award (2 times at that time i believe) can't even guard 38 years old MJ, i know this is a miss match as their position, but still amazing. Greatest of all time is only for Michael Jordan my man

  • i miss watcin mj. wish he was still around so he could school kobe nd end this silly argument of who is the best

  • SIMPLY the best ever...thanks hoops you are my ONLY RELIGION...

  • still was dunking at 38, GOAT

  • dunno if kg got ate up. any 2 guard in the league is supposed to blow by a 6'11 guy whether he's old or not. this is the nba. he caught kg reaching a few times. and most guys are scared to body up these days because everything is a foul. i really wanted to see the wizards make the playoffs just 1 year but MJ's body was fcked up. i never get tired of MJ so nice post anyway.

  • basketballfreak: No that was amazing. Kobe at 29 could not do it and KG was one of the reasons the Celtic's team defense was so good.

MJ's body was damaged, but look at that hesitation and the dunk afterwards. That speaks millions: If he is a shadow of himself and was this good, people have to realize how great he was in his 20s.

  • kobe did not even try to shoot..... remember? i gave up on kobe when he did not try to shoot in game 7 2006 game 6 2008 he is weak....

  • True bro.

  • lol true but youre confusing the timberwolves defense with the celtics defense. kg wasnt exactly guarding kobe during the finals. i agree kobe is definitely no MJ.

  • On the contrary the Celtics were forced to put KG on LeBron because nothing else was working as effective. I'm sure you remember that. LeBron was looking pretty good out there with KG stepping up on him, not just for traps either, there was some 1 on 1 coverage and LeBron just made him his bitch. Pierce and Posey did a good job as a duo on LBJ until he dropped 45 in their face. I love how LeBron sits on the outside of this argument although LeBron has had the most 1 on 1 vs KG recently.

  • Start watching this at the 3:00 mark. LeBron has no problem with KG. Infact LeBron dunked on KG twice this past year, once with his right hand, once with his left hand.

  • Start watching this video at the 3:00 mark:

    /watch?v=UwKIDosUYig

    type youtube . com first.

  • lol..lebron sucks!nah i know lebron is a beast but i still say Wade is the best. KG ended up on Lebron because of pick and roll and he settled for jumpers mostly. gotta give the celtics alot of credit tho. Jordan figured out that if he was gonna attack defenses like that, he would attack from the low block rather than the perimeter. Lebron needs to improve on his low post game if hes going to have to basically carry the offense every game of every series.

  • lol. Yeah, I agree there is more room for LeBron to improve, but shit, most guys are rookies going on sophmores at his age. It's crazy to think that LeBron, without a polished game mind you, is doing what he's doing. I don't think people understand how much Jordan's jumper developed over time, I see this happening with LeBron, not that LeBron doesn't have a good jumper, it's better than Magic Johnson's was, that's for sure, when LeBron polishes up his game, what the fuck will he be putting up?

  • If Charles Barkley can become a damn good 3 point shooter over time, I'm sure LeBron James can. I was watching this 1989 All Star game that I edited for the old channel, I just re-posted it the other day, Karl Malone 6'9" 260lbs is the size that Hubie Brown describes him as in 1989. To think, that's LeBron's size but LeBron can jump like Dominique Wilkins, except, LeBron also jumps off 1 foot, Nique did all those 2 foot gather dunks. I personally am glad I've followed LBJ.

  • KG got eaten alive by 38 year old Michael LOL.

  • never knew that billups was on the timberwolves.....

  • Ya and celtics i believe he was drafted by them

  • Thanks for posting this. I never get tired of watching games with him as a wizard. That dunk past KG was amazing, the layups were to, and that fadaway over KG was beyond difficult and he drilled it. It's as if he decides he's not almost 40 but 28 again. Simply amazing.

  • tnx that i still be watching the master... and i have learn a lot on his basketball ability but i nver tried to be like him cauze its so dificult :D

  • man mj lost

  • 4:16!!!!!!!! yuuuck he put so much arc on that damn shot it was just pretty he is the man tho i shoulda known he was gone do in young KG its MJ DUH lol

  • he had 4 asts

  • Ahh, you are right. Bad typo on my part. Thanks for the correction. I'll have to add it to the description.

  • Thanks for the upload Hoops. It never gets old watching these old games with MJ still lingering around in the league leaving his mark in every game he played in. Mannnn.....I just wish the NBA would get some of this stuff back. You really do not miss something until its gone. Great stuff hoops, you definitely rock with these posts.

  • Hey Hoops, thanks a lot for this upload, this is the game I was talking about, great to see it again, thanks a lot for the upload.

Great game this game, makes you wonder what that season would have been like if Jordan didnt get injuried, also if that Wizards team were kept together the following year when MJ was healthy...

    Thanks again Hoops.

  • Good thing you reminded me about this game because I had it in the back of my mind for a while. I remember seeing the game live and was stunned how MJ repeatedly just took it straight at KG like he was nothing. Challenges brought out the beast.

Yes, if not for the knee injury, MJ at ages 38-40 could have had his finest hour if that's even possible. But regardless, we still have these moments and they just missed the playoffs by a hair riding a 40 year old from rock bottom.

  • Yeah, if he was healthy that first year with the Wizards I believe the team would have made a nice run in the play offs, but as you said, we have these memories of the GOAT still doing some amazing things, regardless of his age.

The Boston game where MJ scored 32, you talking about the game at Boston where the Wizards lost 104 - 95 (Nov 7th)?

Hoops' do you have the Milwaukee (Wizards won 107-98 March 29th) where Jordan scored 34 in 26 mins? Thanks again.

  • I remember he was on a mission, because Allen mentioned MJ should've stayed retired. So MJ was playing with him. I felt sorry for Ray and anybody else they put on him.

There's a number of games from the Wiz years, where he'd embarrass some of the top defenders at will. I never understood why people dismiss his Wiz years as much as they do. Sure he wasn't at his best, but he was still one of the best players in the game, and when he had his legs, he was THE best player in the league.

  • B/c typical people are enthralled by (his) dunks. They couldn't see Jordan's true mastery.

  • Agreed. Although he dropped off from his younger years, his Wiz years are significant in that it shows that he could still dominate against the players of today. Those two years prove that MJ would be successful no matter which time period he played in. To real basketball fans, those two years weren't needed to prove it, but it's a good resource to counter ignorant fools, idiots, and younger folks who underestimate MJ's greatness.

  • lol im 16....i know that MJ was and still is and always will be the GREATEST OF ALL TIME....i look up to him in many ways...he is my role model and my hero.....no one will ever...be able to play like he did....ever....he was a leader of the two teams like no one else could ever be....the leadership the guy had was un-matchable....some people say he ruined his perfect carrier coming back to play for the wizards....but he came back because he loved the game to much and was not ready to leave it...

  • hoops you got awesome videos!

  • thanks hoops another great clip

  • WTF

  • Jahidi White looks better than Kwame Brown, but this supporting cast sucked.

  • 4:12-4:15 "You reach, I teach."

  • So we have vids of MJ embarrassing Posey, Ray Allen and now KG.

All we need is Kobe stopper no.4 Paul Pierce.

    Who's got any?

    Somebody please up them. Thanks

  • have the the 32 Vs Boston as a Wiz. I'll put that up soon.

There was also a preseason game against Boston where I think MJ was undercut by Pierce on a jumper which, in hindsight, eventually was the injury that led to surgery. MJ's leg bent the other way and he was not the same. I can't remember how the game was going so I'll check that out too.

Also, I was reading some of your sarcastic comments on SPMJ's spur's video. good stuff. Thanks.

  • Thanks

I remember they went at it, but I don't actually remember the game itself.

I find it funny that people don't get my obvious sarcasm, its so obvious its more of a farce and ridicule than anything.

  • Love that at 38-40 he torched, the supposedly "tougher" (sarcasm) era of the NBA. Would have loved to see what a Jordan at 40 with healthy knees and not a broken rib would've done.
