It's (movies, tv, music) just entertainment- right?
Enter(come into)
Tain(hold, possess)
Ment(a state of)
To enter into, possess & to keep an individual in a state of possession as a fan (fanatic) of said entertainer or entertainment (idol, icon, star, celebrity).
To be a living vessel for evil spirits via one's own consciousness.
To emulate sinful pop trends & fads under the guise of "artistic expression" while acting out on said fanatical impulses contained within said entertainment.
@IceManLikeGervin That's a very creative etymology. I suspect with the highly religious terms you've used (evil spirits, sinful), you'll appreciate the fact that "diversion" is the term used in Spanish and French for "entertainment". To entertain means to divert, veer away, or detour, from a path...whatever path that may be. Puritans throughout the ages have been against diversion, or as they say "perversion".
do you have the link for this actual broadcast or at least the date???

Even my (societal) conditioning has been conditioned.
