  • @efaifi The recipe I used is really old fashioned. I think the egg white was used to help the icing set. Your recipe probably has a couple of differences to mine but it'll taste the same. Enjoy!

  • Thanks for the recipe. I wondered about these Lamingtons. Now I see why people love them! I loved the thing that happened with the egg whites. Cracked me up. I've had things like that happen to me, too. We have to have a sense of humor in the kitchen that's for sure.

  • When you beat the eggs stiff, they become really thick, not runny like regular whites. That's probably why there was such a heavy 'thud' sound. X) It's a bit like mushy marshmallows.
