@Vladrad German cars never look like that and only reason that German cars looks nice for many years is that they use so primitive design that is comparable to BALL or BOX. Ball and box looks nice and will look nice for next 10000000 years. Why because even if you don't know anything about design you cannot made mistake, IT'S TOO SIMPLE. I used to drive german car (Ford), plenty of mechanical problems. I changed for a Citroen C4, just a great pleasure, no problem at all, and now I wish I can buy neither the C5. French cars in 2011 are as good as german, more comfortable and cost less money. If you are stupid to waste money just because it is "better" to buy german, it is your problem.

oh alot of people try to deny that. the name "german" is the same as Germanic. Originally GERMAN is the man, and GERMANIC is the culture. Since after-world-war propaganda this gets separated, even though germany does not have its name from nowhere(but a lot more people are german, then only the inhabitants of germany, iam not talking national, as I already gave a hint on dutch people), and the tribes of the migration periode, but "german" existed before modern nations, and stands for inhabitants

I am personally most certain not a decendant of franks, I am austrian, and the german franks were not native in austria. I only want justice. They gave the german carolus magnus the name "charlemagne"... and sell him as french. Yet he was only known as carolus and Karl. the franks are from germany and the netherlands, but the romano-gauls were the ones that had a written language(latin) and so they claimed legacy... even though they were only conquered.

They are also "diuts", a term created by frankish people to discribe their folc and kin. So can the belgians to a certain amount, due to their history because of french imperialism. Franks enriched french culture & created great symbols which help later give birth to the nation of France. Charles Martel's heroic Tours battle to stop an arabic invasion of Europe, Clovis' Vase of Soisson, The Song of Roland, Charlemagne. Who are you to deny a nation its founding symbols?

@rascasse83 I think you are wrong informed. Franks came from east of the rhine. They have german heritage. till the 5th century the franks were purely german. Then they conquered huge parts of the benelux and france. They did not migrate to france... france was much higher populated and there is almost no genetical evidence in french people that link to the franks. The only frankish people in france where nobleman, thats just the same reason why german terms only got used in french military.

"charlemagne" is a word Carolus never heard. He was known as Karl to his people, and as "Carolus" to the romans. He also was barely in what is now france, and he was regis of austrasia and of german birth... so there is no justification to give him a name he not even understood in his lifetime.

If both france & germany share a common tribal origin (amongst other tribes in their origin) then that is a great lesson of 'patriotic' humility.

All cars have come up to the Japanese standard but the character looks of the cars were destroyed in the 80's+90's when car manufacturers were buying and copying each other for cost efficiency.
Stereotypes are collapsing but Fiat will still have that last at the bottom thing.
The electronics in a make of car is the benchmark of reliability. Japanese lead the way here.

I belive that german cars are not that good as the french ones. The french cars are even more beautiful and uniques than german cars. my opinion is based on many things that i saw and drive. Saab and Volvo are better than german to, even Mazda, Honda, Nissan and Mitsubishi. Last championship Formula 1 proved that Renault is higher than Mercedes. German cars are something comercial...
