Ok. F-15, thats quite a good plane. I've heard a story where an F-15 pilot was able to land his plane safely after losing a whole wing to enemy fire. It's almost as durable as the A-10. It's quite a plane, tell your friend he is lucky.

the Marines have carrier squadrons too, all Navy fighter squadrons are labeled VFA, Marine fighter units are VFMA. Look around and you'll see plenty of carrier borne Marine jets
