Spring of '93. Saturday morning, my girlfriend and I dosed some Felix the Cat early, and went to a buddies house to score some rag. They gave us a couple knocks on a bong, and sent us on our way. "Searching for the ground....." played on the stereo in the car, and the Felix kicked in on top of the weed. TRAILS!!! (First and only time.) I had to pull over and collect myself. Went straight home, darkened my room and listened to "Dark Side Of the Moon". Fun, but VERY dangerous. I'm glad I grew up.

I like to think it's about not knowing where you're going to be in the future, what's going to happen if you keep living your life the way you do... of course the one speaking (Chris in this case) seems to be shaken by life, by someone or something... that's maybe what keeps him 'with his good eye closed' and 'searching for a ground'... somewhere, some place where he can rest at. He doesn't know where the fuck he's going, but still he goes...

I feel sorry for this new generation cuz they have to listen to bands (in my opinion) sound the same, and it seems to me that these new bands are just doing it for the fame.
