I was just in French Polynesia! Went to Tahiti and Bora Bora. We landed briefly on Moorea. DAMN me for not going at the time you did. I would have loved to swim with the Humpbacks. While there are many places in the world that you can go whale watching, the South Pacific is probably one of the very few places in the world that you can actually get up close and swim with them.

OMG what an amazing and spiritual experience this must have been. I just went on a whale watch and saw them breaching near our boat and I was shaking and crying - can't imagine how it owuld be to be IN the water next to them! Unbelievable!

Whalechaser3, I was diving off of the coast of the Big Island of Hawaii when a beautiful curious mama whale approached us and swam around us for a while. I hope Your wish comes true! My wish is for that to happen again! :)
