  • hey where did you find that box?!

  • Name of song?

  • SUPER CLEAN

  • Hey man how do you rate the ZR splits? what size are you running? thanks

  • how do you know how loud to turn them up without blowing them?

I have 2 12" w3v3's and they dont flex that much but are still loud..

  • very nice and clean. what is your unbiased opinion on the 12 w3v3s and your 10 w6v2s? im stuck between getting a 10w3v3 or 12 or saving and getting a 12w6v2 or 10.. i have a mazda 3 hatchback and i like quality sound with a broad range of music, but as most say, i also want to crank it occasionally and love LOW bass.. any thoughts on both products ide appreciate. thanks

  • The w6v2 will hit lower notes, if comparing single subs to single subs. It'll sound better, as well. HOWEVER instead of getting a w6v2 I'd just save for two w3v3 10's. You can fit it in the Mazda3 and it looks -really- good if you get the right kind of box built (or find a prefab box)... w3v3's are easier to power too, 1000w RMS should do the trick well.

Protip: Sealed box with the w3v3's will pound like pure retardation when you want it to, and still sound good doin it at high or low volume.

  • Is that a 500/1v2 for a 1000/1v2 or in between?

  • 500/1 original in black finish

  • man m y car shake with 12 w3 and amo kenwood 1800 w.

  • Alright... Thanks a lot man...

  • Are the ZR components worth all that money??? Im still trying to figure it out cause I wanna get them.....

  • i've never heard anything better, ill put it that way

  • Thanks for replying so quickly... What kind of Amplifier u have for the ZR, I have the 300/4v2 and Im thinking to bridge it to two channel per speaker so I can get more power... and a HD600 for 4 rear speakers C5-650X... what u think??

  • the 300/4 not being bridged should be more than enough to suffice. bridging it isnt going to make enough difference to risk frying those expensive MFers. that setup has an a4300 on them and with just that, it was plenty enough to put them to their full potential.

  • what is the name of this song

  • late night tip - three six mafia

  • niiice , I bet they sound good in person, the cam makem sound like shit

  • nice box

  • I'm thinking about getting a JL Audio system and have some questions:

    is a 1000/1 amp too powerful for 2 12'' W3v3s?

is a 500/1 amp with 2 12" 3v3s gonna hit hard, yet still sound good?

    thanks

  • 1000/1 is definitely too big. the system you're looking at is two 12w3v3's and a black 500/1. it pretty well pushes the subs to their complete potential without distortion. and 1000/1 would pretty much annihilate them. i have a 1000/1 pushing two w6's and its more than they can handle.

  • actually. you could adjust the gain on that amp to run about 800w and that would be fantastic.

my amp right now runs about 700 rms. and i have 2 12" JL Audio w3v3-4's and they sound amazing. there is no distortion, and they sound very clean and punchy - as JL's should.

a 500/1 might not be enough power if your looking to get everything out of these subs.

howevevr, i do agree i wouldnt go about running 1000w to those two subs(though you could), but youre forgetting you can tune these amps.

  • i'm not forgetting anything. i have one. and before JL rerated all their subs, 12w3v3's were rated at 300 rms a piece and a 500/1 can produce more than 500 watts making it a near perfect amp. at most you're looking at a 3db increase in spl going to the 1000/1 which isnt worth double the price or taking the risk of not setting something correctly and frying the coils. and you say you're running 700rms.

  • i also say it's a matter of time before your surrounds begin to split (as mine on my 10w6v2's already have and it's set to produce 900rms) however i have had mine for nearly three years.

  • On Friday I am getting 1 10W7 with a 500/1 amp. Which I heard is a perfect combo.

  • mate i got 2 of them in my car with 1800 watt kenwood they blow so hard my whole car shakes i need dynamte

  • what kind of amp do you got running with this subs

  • he's got a JL 500/1 (black) on them

  • thanks man that thing pounds hard

  • and does the sub box have the enough air space that subs need and what will happen if i put two subs like that on f150 2005 supercrew with a regular sub box that does not have the same air space will it still pound hard and whats the other amp on the top for

  • i built the backside to where its two separate sides. behind the amp is totally empty. i could have made it a lot bigger but this just looked cooler. its basically two wedge boxes put together. the amp on the top runs his door speakers and you should be fine as long as the volume of the box is close to what JL recommends.

  • T6M FOR LIFE haha my faves from them are late night tip, love to make a stain, and lock down from memphis king vol 3. where'd you get your box from? its a nice set up

  • i built this setup for a buddy of mine

  • oh cool. its a nice lookin box. what'd you use? and how'd you paint it?

  • thanks man, its 3/4" MDF and i puttied all the holes and its painted with roll on bed liner. similar to a probox, but not as coarse.

  • oh cool

  • song is late nite tip - 3 6 mafia

  • fuck this song every singly person who puts a video up has this song in there video

  • yeah, well fuck you. if you cant say something nice on someones video, dont fucking say anything at all you stupid fuck

  • Honestly dude, who gives a shit? Go buy a system of your own then find out why everyone uses this song. Shit hits so hard.

  • too true!

  • and its getting very annoying

  • im gunna post a vid with this song just to piss you off haha

  • haha thanks, theres only a million other songs, i guess ill understand when i get my subs next week

  • these are my list of good bass songs... Hard White Brick by Yo Gotti & Gucci Mane, A Millie by Lil Wayne, Love To Make A Stain by Three 6 Mafia, Smokin Out by Project Pat, Lost One's by Jay Z, Lock Down by Three 6 Mafia, Oxycotton by Lil Wyte, Acid 2004 by Lil Wyte, Rebel Bass, anything from Bass Inc, Do Ya Thing by T.I, Mr. Me Too by Clipse, Like Whoa by Black Rob, Rain Man by Gucci Mane, The Way Ya Move by Outkast, Drum & Bass Wise... I dont know the artist I'll get back to you on that one....

  • good information for everyone, yea pretty much all Three 6 wangs, im talkin about not ever rap tho, i listen to some trippy shit and it makes that so much better too

  • well I got em by Yo Gotti feat Lil Wayne & Birdman is another good one...

but some techno stuff is cool. i like drum n bass like pendulum

  • hey i just got 2 12 inch w3v2 d4. but i have a hifonic bxi1608d mono block with two outputs, its 500 rms at 4 ohm,1100 at 2 and 1600 at 1. i know its a lil bit underrated but which would be best to wire my 2 sub in my port box that only has 1 outlet. help please anyone. im thinkin of runnin it seprate into 2 ohms. but maybe just 4 ohms. thanks!

  • look for wiring diagrams on crutchfield.. I wouldnt recomend to over power your subs unless it was like 200watts or so.. unless Your wanting to replace them they wont last as long..

  • damn thats a niceass setup! nice!

  • How much cubic feet is that box?

  • What brand is that box

  • song

  • late night tip 36 mafia

  • wish i had a box like that, mines wider and has a slant at the back so only fits in backwards with the subs pointing to the back and passanger seats way ahead.. will that effect my sound alot cuz i havent hooked them up yet??

  • to be honest, i couldnt tell you how it would sound. you'll know as soon as you hook it up whether you like it or not. i dont know that its going to be much quieter but its probably going to make the truck rattle more. and if your box is any wider, it wont fit. we had to cut the trim panels in that truck for the box to fit in the back. plus the guy that drives it is really short, which is a good thing because the box makes you scoot the sears forward a lot.

  • what kind of car is that ..?

  • single cab f150

  • impressed very nice set up

  • nice video good setup

  • I hate these bass test musics...why doesn't everybody plays rap? On the other hand I love SuBwOOfeRS

  • thats not bass test, its three six mafia - "late nite tip"

  • Hey..Colthard.. just wandered if you got my youtube message I sent about some questions on a new setup I was thinking about going with.Just wanted to say that it looks like you did a great job on these setups that you built.Awesome videos btw and thanks for the cool posts.. Holla back at me man and share some thoughts on my present setup if you have time to .Thanks man.

  • what song is that?

  • late nite tip - three six mafia

  • dawg please don't tell thats an extended cab...?

  • single cab

  • who made your box?? is that a plastic box?? do the welds hold up to the subs??

  • i made it, it's 3/4" MDF, its just has a rubberized coating instead of carpet, because the floorboards are rhinolined, and the box matches.

  • awsome box, I guess I'm gonna have to spend a weekend making me one ... got my single prop'd up between the seats right now ... did you do your home work and make the volume of the box correct???

  • i did i did, its built exactly to JL's recommended volume specs. behind it it's two separate chambers. i just made the fascia one piece to give it a cleaner look.

  • DAMmmn]Nice system mAynEe

  • nice setup! i like the quality work for the quality product. strictly JL. you should chek out my vids i got 4 of those except 13's

  • what song is this. i want to test my memphis pr series with it

  • late night tip - Three 6 Mafia

  • Nice. I have an f150 regular cab with 2 10w3 and a 500/1 jl amp. I am trying to get my components but shit costs man.

  • what kind of truck is that in?

  • its in a f-150 single cab

  • Hey just curious. I have the XR components in my Explorer. What do u think about the ZR's?? Worth the extra 400 a set?

  • i havent heard the XR's, but the ZRs are definitely pretty amazing. Im not sure if they're quite worth the 400 difference... however, i have heard the new C5's, and they come ridiculously close to the ZRs and cost 300 less. the C5's also have the silk dome tweeter which is a big plus.

  • Yeah I heard about the C5's having that silk tweeter, but heard it is both good and bad. Good that it sounds great, but if you really want to blast it the tweeter doesn't hold up as well at higher volumes compared to the aluminum tweeters.

  • i agree, that is a sick ass box.

  • thats a sick ass box with that set up nice work

  • thanks, we tried our best to make it look pretty cool.

  • sealed or port

  • sealed, tuned to 40 hertz

  • man if you get a slot ported box with the JL dimensions I guarantee that those 2 will blow your head off. Im in the W6 class with the 13 W6 with the slot ported box; its absolutely insane. Just a suggestion if you have the money.

  • theres not doubt about that, but the box also has to be a big bigger and thats space that wasnt available in that truck. i did this install for a friend and he's pretty short so the seat is always scooted up so i had a little more room to work with but not enough to squeeze in a ported box for two 12w3's. i also have two 10w6's myself. you should check out those vids

  • True that man all depends on space. Thats why I specifically bought an SUV, that and because im 6ft 3 LMAO

  • I'm 6 2. And drive a camaro, LOL

  • hey man yes name of the song of your video of the car thank you

  • nice

  • late night tip by three six mafia

  • nice

  • hey man.nice setup. i like it, esp. for a truck.check mine out if ya want.

  • i love both of you set ups. how have you wired them up
