actually, a proof coin is struck six times instead of threee times with the die. NOt "polished". And the shine is not on the entire coin. The coin is frosted on places like the head. That is what makes it noticable. Shiny coins could be uncirculated, and many people mistake BU as proof. S O look for teh mirror like finish and the frosting (Unless it is very old, before they did that). I think that would help more than saying it is "Very shiny".
