i wonder what the neighbors think when you crank up the rpm's and it gets vary loud it probably is exciting its max rpm's so i wonder if it can take the rpm's
The motor speed can be adjusted. But i think i figured out the problem. It has a bad ground fault switch. I have it working right now. But there is a shortage of wood pellets right now and i haven't ran it in a few weeks.
Well done, man. I haven't quite started on my gasifier yet, but I've learned lots watching your vids. Thanks for your contribution to us woodgas geeks.
It sounds like that engine is running too fast - maybe the generator is shutting its circuits off due to overspeed of the motor?? I imagine the generator needs a pretty constant RPM to maintain the 60Hz AC.
I built this for my hunting cabin and do p[lan to buy a battery cell pack. I also have a wind mill and soon will get some solar panels. The wood gas generator will used for an emergency back up. Yes I have thought of using it to heat the water at the hunting cabin. But first i am going to make a ram pump to get water to it. I still have alot of project to do and not enough time to do them all. But it is fun when i can work on them.
Awsome. Good Job. Now to put a box around it to soundproof it so it might set in the garage and produce power. Are you going to invest in a Battery Cell pack to charge? I am envious. Are you going to harness the heat to boil water or use on a hot water heater?
Would like to know how much bio mass you use per a specific load on the gen set... Need more video of April!!! LOL

Just curious, how many hrs of runtime do you have on your generator now?

I love how April high tailed it back a few step when you adjusted the intake valve. LOL!

Yes. I put valves on the oxygen and Woodgas line. Then set to the RPM.

Looks great, both the generator, and April.Seriously though, you remove the carb and just pipe it right into the intake?

The valves that control the wood gas and oxygen can be adjusted to run at any speed.
jcornelius215 2 years ago
How do you control the speed of the engine?

Plans can be found on FEMA wood gasification.
jcornelius215 2 years ago
where did you get your plans? how small of a combustion chamber would I need for a small 1000w generator?

I see the truck in the photo,Now but the wood gas machine on weels hook it to the truck and with a little added HHO gas you will be driving for FREE
Thanks AAAAAAAAA++++++++++

I use wood pellets and wood chips that are about 1 1/2" and smaller.
jcornelius215 3 years ago
