Look, my friend, I've been a "professional" musician and singer for over 30 years, and I'll tell you - this is a FINE effort! I've done a lot of a capella stuff over the years, and all these "haters" need to get a grip on what it takes to put together a piece like this. Half the time you're flying blind 'cause you can only hear the finished product in your head and nowhere else. Keep up the good work. I'll be putting some a capella stuff on my YouTube library soon.

Its good but your missing things and there is only one way to say this, your singing it like a white person, im guessing your white but that doesn't matter you need that soul very thick tone and those high notes need to be more than Forte You need like FFFF for that. Some aspects of it are great (especially the sound on the lead vocals), but the cluttered bass, distance, bad balance, lack of strong rhythmical voices and low overall power and clarity leaves it so empty. It sounds like the performer is skilled and has access to good equipment, but is sadly unfamiliar with the recording and processing parts.

@Bobstew68 i can tell you, i'm only an amateur; the 'great equipment' is a standard mic and a freeware editing program; there's also a huge difference between the quality of the audio on youtube and the original track on my laptop, especially concering the clarity of the overall sound! i have no training whatsoever, so guess i'm not really to blame? =) but thx for your comment!

@Lovetosing85 Sorry if I came across as an ass. :/ "Good" equipment, as opposed to the a cappella amateurs who sing into their laptop microphone. There are lots of positive things to say too! The harmonies are great, there's very good attention to detail, etc. By "sadly", I meant that your musical aptitude as a performer is impressive (both the singing itself and your ear), so it's a pity when it's held back by the audio processing. "The circle of life" is a very powerful song.

I used a standard mic and the multitrack recording program Cool Edit Pro 2.0 for recording and editing. That's it. I don't think the program is still being sold, it might have been taken over by Adobe.
