  • Hey that is pretty cool. Are you able to turn and shape cork grips with that also?

  • @tiredtridude Was able to shape hypalon by using a 240 volt drill in the vise. Never tried cork but I am sure it would not be a problem.

  • Pretty cool.

  • Nice job !!

  • : )

  • THAT'S WHAT I NEED !!!

    VERY GOOD !

  • THAT'S WHAT I NEED !!!

    VERY GOOD !

  • u ever try roller blades on ur winder?

  • @rodbum I live in a remote coastal town in the tropics. Not an option for a budget project in this locality.

  • Thats very good mate! I tried to make something like this and i ended up electrocuting myself so i stick to hand turning now. I would really like to see what rods you have done.

  • Thanks for the kind words. Comparing it to professional models I have used it has some disadvantages - you have to up the driver drill to a 240v version to get sufficient speed for sculpting grips when building a new rod.

But it also has some real advantages including much better speed control, more stable blank security in both the rollers and the driving mandrel.

  • Now that,......, is Cool!
