Personally, I believe that Seether is superior to Nirvana. Don't forget to comprehend my words, because by all means, Nirvana was a great band that left it's mark most certainly, but in terms of pure talent, I think that Seether has them beat. Kurt Cobain had a voice that was never spectacular, but regardless felt absolutely amazing to hear and he had you in the palm of his hands at every opportunity, reminds me of Johnny Cash to an extent.

I'm too young to remember Nirvana being around and I wouldn't bother to listen to the original versions if my favourite band woudn't bother to cover their songs... and that's true for many other people and many other bands. Just a way to keep the bands that are worth knowing (but you can't see them on TV anymore!) alive. And also - that's some kind of a tribute to the music that means something to you, I guess.

Wow, there's actually a surprising amount of vocal similarity there, even nailing the accent perfectly. The song's pace seems a leeeeetle bit rush, not lingering as much as Kurt did; and the guitar covers up Shaun's vocals a bit much, but over all, one of the most solid Nirvana covers yet. Definitely better than Flyleaf covering Teen Spirit.
