  • The tecniche is incredible, most of the people that coment negatively maybe don't notice that it's a rapresentation of the most famous ballet performances ever

  • amazingggg!!!!

  • Doesn't matter who run it, it is beautiful.

  • ok, I never knew any thing about this video but based on the costume and the pairs and the music. I think it's safe to say that it's a little get together video of ALL the winners for that particular competition. Hence the mismatching outfits and weird music. It's probably a little something they whipped out on the go...

  • IT IS OSUM I LOVE IT

  • HOLY SHIT! THEY'RE FREAKING AMAZING! Their moves are so clean and have so much strength and flexibility! Lots of long hours, sweat, tears, and blood to reach this level. My admiration and respect goes out to those dancers!

  • ik vind dit echt geweldig

  • nicely done...clean n tidy moves...love it so much..

china ballet dancer is the best.. love them...

  • Some moves are fantastic!

  • oh, :)!

This may sound stupid, but I just made a playlist called Dance Like Fire Dream. Would You like to take a looks at it? :)?

  • First the form, then how you produce it, then the beautiful states of mind that you use to produce it, think how you would naturally express that state of mind in movement, variate the expression playfully -> find the movement in the coreocraphy but this time with a higher capacity, better spirit and as an expression of your way of living instead of as a puppet like task to work through -> utter beauty.

  • pretty nice comments!:-)))

  • Let's take another example: a jumb: It is good to know from where you can find strong ground, how you create force, how you act according to your true motivation, how you lift yourself higher to where you want to go, how to enjoy yourself while there, how to come down without hurting yourself, finding new ground, taking the inevitable realism in a good way that offers good ground for future life, continuing your pace naturally, unshaken, balancedly, motivatedly, not taken aback, happily, spirit

  • Dance is essential, like if you take the dancer stepping livelily to her back foot and bowing at the same time, it is good to know analogiously

how to step back to rest one's weight on what one already knows and to not to do it robot like but with the essentials in mind (=livelily like a happy child); bow to the world so as to let go of one's self-importance, lied social position and one's bad habits, as a result being open to life, emotions, soul, in a holistic awareness/view of the whole world

  • omg i have this dvd!@

  • Is ballet training run by the Chinese government?

  • its so ignorant of you to think that everything in China is run by government.

  • @littlechristina That is a little harsh. Someone coming from a ballet background is not necessarily familiar with all the changes occuring in China. For a period of time ballet training as with most work was controlled by the government. Today training occurs at a combiniation of private and government run schools. The goverment still is involved with ballet training, just not to the degree of the past. But I am pretty sure the 北京舞蹈学院 is run by the government.

  • @littlechristina Well it IS a communist country.

  • @littlechristina

I didn't know, you don't need to be so rude.

Like do you know anything about ballet in

Central America and South America? Did

you know there have been several stars

from those countries and that have gotten

gold medals from competitions and are

famous too and that have trained in the U.S.?

I wonder if you know that and other things that

    happen outside China.

  • @littlechristina they were just asking a question. they werent saying a statement.

  • @littlechristina Not ignorant at all. A perfectly reasonable supposition. Would you care to answer the question?

  • no its run by the American government and the CIA

  • @quelita28 - China is more commercialism than the western world these days.

  • AMAZING!!!

  • i don't exactly get why the clash of costumes was necessary but the ballet was spectacular

  • They are all SKINNY & TALL.

Of course they would be good in dance.

  • There are thousands of skinny and tall women out there who could never reach this artistry of dance...

It's disrespectful to the amount of time they've put into training to dismiss their work as "oh, it's just because they're skinny and tall"

  • nicely said.

  • Yeah, im skinny and tall, have been dancing for years, and could probably never reach that level.

Its totally ignorant to think that just because they're skinny and tall they can do that. it just looks better because they are, its actually easir to dance if your shoter.

and they're probably actually all short like 5'8 at the tallest for guys and like 5'2 for girls cuz thats how ballerinas are

  • the girl who played Gisell (HOU, Hong Lan) is tall. that's why she can't find a dancing parter in China. she found one in Europe though..

yeah most other gals are much shorter

  • haha its just classic balletmusic

  • i don't like the music at all.....but they dance soo well...that u forget the music!

  • More specifically I think, the choreography doesn't fit the Music. This choreography is incorporating a lot of big movements like gran jetes and gran pliets and tournant and the music is kind of whimsical and light-hearted.

  • Wow! hen hoa

  • is hen hao,not hen hoa

  • oops...thank you.

  • Wow her arch is amazing!!

  • I thought music is OK, uplifting and triumph.

  • I agree, music is horrible. But dancers are really stars!!

  • Music is terrible, dancers are superb!

  • Just a quick random poll here, but

Does anyone know Liu Feng(or Phoenix Liu)

    a)yes, I love her!

b)I've heard of her, but don't really know her

    c)who?

She was a big ballerina and movie star in china in the 80's, and was a top solo dancer trained at the Beijing Ballet with Galina Ualanova(if u don't know her, look her up).

  • Amazing dancers, horrible music

  • Well, Chinese music is not always on the top of favourable list, is it ? But I agree, the dancing is absolutely captivating.

  • it's not chinese music

  • @gaarakitsune do you dance to american music?

  • Actually, Zhu Yan took gold in the junior division at Varna.

Li Jun, partnered with "Esmeralda", took silver at Jackson to Wu Haiyan's gold. There's an excerpt of their pas de deux from Giselle on YouTube. It was ethereal.

  • china have the best ballet outfits~!!

  • whoa! the turns were amazing! that rocked =D!

  • beautiful. and the music's okay, not THAT terrible! :]

  • Absolutely ravishing, the chinese ballet troupes display perfection in modern ballet.

  • hey, that's my friend! I know her from Miami City Ballet!

  • This looks like typical Chinese television craziness. But the dancers are...sigh...exquisite. The Chinese women are truly some of the best in the world nowadays.

  • Can anyone please tell the artistic director that the music is horrible and ask him to do something about it.....

  • they dance very beautiful. but the music is .....s**k

  • omg amazing

  • I don't like the costumes and music,quite ugly..

  • Is the blue tutu the Esmeralda costume?

  • yep

  • @sxu1292 This is the real chinese ballet,2bad~I donot like it

  • the costumes and music are absolutely horrible~ but the dancers are really good though

  • I can't believe the difference between the Royal Canadian Ballet and the Chinese company. Wow, the Chinese organization is so precise, and deft. RCB is wonderful; but this is quite impressive.

  • Though I don't like the dance very much, I like all of the dancers very much. Whatever, thank you for uploading this.
