I enjoyed the Ring thoroughly. I dont think it was supposed to be terribly frightening like the Exorcist, just on the edge creepy.
But, it had an excellent script. I particularly liked the open-end ending where the mother teaches her son(or the boy) that evil can be justified. Very disturbing concept.
