  • Joypads are much easier to hack, don't you think? You don't need to desolder, you just sold your wires and it's done.

  • @renatov85 I have another video where I do just that. But one thing you will learn if you do this, is contact solder is weak. It's only as strong as the bond of the clad to the board. Every contact solder style I've ever done (and many other people too) has fallen apart after time. Conversely every through (hole) solder I've ever done has lasted, years even. It's quality vs a little time. I'll take quality every time. Thanks for the comment!

I wasn't aware of that, thanks for answering. Do you think if I put some fusible glue on the solded site it will remain unbroken for more time?

  • @renatov85 No problem man, It would definitely help. I've used hot glue in the past and it helps. If you are set on using that method, I would use something more pliable than hot glue, like maybe shoe goo or even calking. I'm not familiar with fusible glue, but if it is pliable it should help a lot. Also take efforts to make sure there is minimal movement of the wires, maybe anchoring the wires down before the board. Just so when and if you service the machine you don't disturb them.

  • I CANT SEE WHAT U DID?

  • can't hear anything for that shit music.... you wasted your time explaining anything

  • you never got laid... EVER!!! me too :{

im 15 HAHAHAHA boobies FTW :}...

  • @CODEINGWITHALEX Speak for yourself man. It's hard to be married for 6 years and not get laid at least once.

  • this my friend is win!

  • dam.....too much work i jus wanna play SF...lol is there a way to us a joypad at all? UGH!!

  • Yup, there is, but they aren't as easy, they take longer to mod, they don't hold up as well and are easy to fuck up..

I have another video on how to do it.

  • I went through 3 PS2 type gamepads before I finally found your vid!! so thank you, sincerely, for the tutorial .

If any one will know this you will...

When you solder new buttons to the board,

will the length of the connecting wires EFFECT the voltage and resistance of the board?

  • Not unless you're running 10 ft of wire that has crap insulation.. Use good wire (I use old cat5 (network) wire) that has decent insulation, and try to keep the length under 5 ft and you'll be fine.. I've had wire as long as 8 ft with no issues..

  • Dude, your voice is copyrighted... You must stop speaking.

  • dude you can't hear anything because your vid's got a copyright infringment clame on it

  • I know, youtube sucks for that.. I'll try to find the original vid and re post it without the stupid song.

  • ofcourse mate am interesed very well...then i need your help plz if you have time ofcourse

  • thanks man...can i do the same for the PS2 jouystick...if its possible plz how...i need some help...thx very much mate

  • Yes, it can be done, but the analog part (thumb sticks) cannot be..

If you're still intersted, you will need to do the surface solder meathod.. To see how look at my other videos, There's one where I'm doing the surface solder...

  • Thanks man :)

  • that was so sick! haha
