Tom was called Buddy because this was Roseanne's revenge after ABC cancelled her Saturday Morning Cartoon series in 1991. Little Rosey was to have a second season. but executive meddling reared it's ugly head and Roseanne wouldnt bow to their requests, so the show was axed.
Did TV exces think little kids were HUGE fans of Roseanne and Tom Arnold and would run out to buy action figures and cereal boxes with their faces on it?
Did Roseanne read the script and have no problem with her character's only personality traits being that she's extremely loud and eats all the damn time?
Was Tom's self esteem so low he has no problem with not even getting his actual name in the title and being nothing more than Roseanne's Lackey?
I can't help but feel this majorly rips off Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
It's features real people venturing into Toontown-er, I mean Cartoonland. There are a bunch of cameos (including Droopy), and the villians are a bunch of weasels. Hell, at one point there's even a taxicab that looks suspiciously like Benny.
I remember this. It was shown 1 time and sweeped under a rock never to be seen again. It really was terrible. I can't believe the care bears were in this too. XO
I definitely want to see one of the members of That Guy With the Glasses take on this
